Not worth the price

Their website says $35 a night, but it was actually $70 per night, plus $20 to use "dump station".

Site is just a picnic table you park next to. Electricity on end and water on the other, not together. My hose barley reached. The electric box was super janky, no breaker, and had exposed wires. I was nervous about plugging in my trailer.  The water faucet had no handle. I had to use a pair of plyers to turn the valve to get water on.

The "dump station" is not your normal PVC pipe sticking up from the ground. Its a large cement dome, with a cut out door on top. The sewage was about 3 inches from the top, and when I opened the door, I immediately shut it, it was so degusting.

The only good thing about this site was it was near the water. No where near worth the $90 I spent.

There is a much, nice and cheaper campsite on the other side of the lake. Dont waste your money here.

Country Living at the Lake

The sites are located close to the water with full-hook ups available. Most spots are gravel but depending on lake level some spots now have grass. The better sites have their own covered picnic tables. Some sites have tree with shade closer spot to the water do not any trees or picnic tables. There is store on site however the nearest gas station is a few miles out. There is also mobile home to rent out and they do allow for rent camping. Pets allowed but there is no designated area so must be picked up after. It’s really busy during holiday peak times when we went but it wasn’t as bad as most lakes in the area. Pull through spots are available and some spots are park as you choose. This place isn’t a resort has all amenities but it is right by the water and if you have a boat it’s not a short distance to dock.

Two things I love:

  1. It is right by the water
  2. The store was pretty well stocked

One thing I didn’t love: Some areas are park as you can fit and not paved or gravel.

Frequently Asked Questions

What amenities are available at Lake Stamford Marina and RV Park?

Lake Stamford Marina and RV Park offers full hook-up RV sites located close to the water. Many sites feature gravel pads, while some have grass depending on the lake level. Select premium sites come with covered picnic tables. The sites closer to the water typically lack trees or shade structures. The campground provides water and electric hookups, though these connections are positioned on opposite ends of the sites, which might require longer hoses. A dump station is available for an additional fee of $20. The electrical boxes may need maintenance attention.

What recreational activities are available at Lake Stamford Park?

Lake Stamford Park offers excellent water-based recreation opportunities. Fishing is popular with easy water access from many camping spots. Boating is available, with the marina providing necessary facilities. When water levels are good, swimming may be possible in designated areas. The park's waterfront location makes it ideal for those wanting to spend time on or near the water. The natural setting also provides opportunities for wildlife watching and relaxing outdoors.

Can you rent cabins at Lake Stamford?

Cabin rentals don't appear to be available at Lake Stamford. The facility primarily offers RV camping with full hookup sites rather than cabin accommodations. For overnight stays, visitors should plan to bring their own RV or camping equipment. If you're specifically looking for cabin-style lodging, you may need to check nearby towns or alternative camping areas in the region. Contact the Lake Stamford Marina directly to confirm current accommodation options.

How do I check the current water level at Lake Stamford?

To check current water levels at Lake Stamford, visit the Texas Water Development Board website or use their water data app. The USGS Water Data website also provides real-time information on lake levels. Local weather services often report on major lakes in the region. For the most up-to-date information, contact the Lake Stamford Marina directly, as they monitor conditions regularly. Water levels can affect camping conditions and accessibility to certain sites, with some areas developing grass during lower water periods.
