Best RV Parks & Resorts near Dripping Springs, TX

the staff are very friendly, always a great time here. You have multiple options on where you can camp you can have rv hook ups and primitive campsites as well all along the river area lots of shade spots as well.

I'm always on the lookout for new campgrounds nearby my town. It's nice to have a few places to escape to for a quick day or weekend trip. I searched on thedyrt.com for campgrounds nearby and noticed a group of listings near Lake Travis in an area called Hudson Bend. I decided to check them out.

I visited The Sunsets at Travis RV Park, but discovered that it is not really a RV campground. It is more of a long-term RV park. It seemed that most of the guests were permanent or month to month guests. The park does offer reasonable rates, but there are few amenities. The park is somewhat removed from the lake shore, so if you'd like to visit the lake you'll need to drive to it. There are some trees and open space at the park, but the RV sites are located pretty closely to each other and there are limited opportunities to really explore nature at the park.

I believe that there are better options available. See La Hacienda RV Resort

This rv resort plays up the RESORT aspect. It’s near perfect.

Right off the highway, safe (gated entry), well kept, pretty.

The owners do a great job of contacting you with all the instructions and help you might need before you even arrive. There are bath houses, a pool, and even a playground for kids.

The spots are gravel ( a little unlevel due to the slight hills) but perfectly spaced with full hook up.

We had a quiet, peaceful Stu. Will absolutely come back!

Located only 9 miles from popular, South Congress and downtown Austin this resort is right off the interstate but nestled in between bushes and trees that offer a sense of privacy. Each site feels spacious and comes with its own picnic table and full hook-ups.

The showers and bathrooms are private and very clean. There are plenty, so there always seems to be at least one available no matter what time of day. The pet area is spacious and clean and has benches. There is a nice laundry room, children’s playground and pool for guests to enjoy as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Austin Lone Star RV Resort.

Overall I like this park. It's away from the interstates and expressway, but close enough to run and get supplies whenever you need. It is a bit noisy, but nothing too bad. My only real gripe is that the septic connection at my spot is at the same height as my RV connection - no matter what I do, I can't get it to have a slope. Most sites are better, but the connection at all of them is raised up about 6". The other thing I'm not happy about is the price ($250 a week). It's a bit steep, but it is a gated area (resort is a bit of stretch). There are a lot of long-term/permanent guests here, and they do make the place look unkempt. I still give it 4 stars, but they need to clean it up a bit. I've stayed in real RV resorts, and for the same money, I've seen better.

We loved the quiet and peace of this RV Resort nestled in Texas Hill Country.

The Park: they have a large pool area with cafe and snacks. The property is large and spaces are spread out through out the park. The big draw is the Guadalupe River, Canyon Lake, and the woods and hills.

They have hot shoes, bath houses, laundry.

The sites: Gravel and mostly level, very few sites were unlevel. You’re surrounded by hills so it is nice and quiet. They are full hook up sites. Each site had a fire ring and picnic table. Small deer herds would move through the park each evening. Many of the campers feed them corn and they know the sounds and come running out of the hills.

The campground is near grocery and hardware stores. Within an hour are several bigger towns with more stores.

Cellular: T-Mobile was decent but not great. They do have Campground WiFi that worked faster.

This is a cool urban RV park in the heart of Austin Texas. The park is located along Barton Springs road in the coolest part of town. It’s next to a brewery, food trucks, and great pubs. It’s also very close to. Barton Spring Greenway and Zilker Park where the ALC music festival takes place in the Fall. The RV park has laundry facilities and bathrooms as well as full sewer, water, and power hookups. The residents are a collection of hippies, lost souls, and people just having fun in Austin. If you can get a reservation this would be the ultimate urban RV experience in Austin. Although many of the sites are taken by long term residents, some sites closer to Barton Springs Road.

This RV Park is about 20 miles northwest of Austin Texas near Cedar Park. The RV park is located 1/4 mile off the highway and backs onto a scenic view of the surrounding hill country views. The park is currently undoing a major expansion and renovation. During our visit the dust and noise from the construction escalating was Lou’s and very dusty. The current park is full of long term campers looking for low cost housing near Austin TX. The rows are crowded with little to no privacy. With all the construction, I would not recommend for children or families. They have full service hookups for the largest RVs including power, water and sewer at each site. The have a laundry facilities and areas for walking pets at the far end of the camp. I would take a pass an this place until they complete the construction and hopefully provide some better and less crowded sites.

Nice RV park near Georgetown Texas about 20 north of Austin. They are a mile or so off of I 35 which makes this a easy to access. They have ample space and lots of amenities. Nice choice for long term or just passing through. They can handle large and small rigs. Your are close to Hutto and Georgetown which have a great selection of restaurants and shops. It’s also near the Berry Spring Preserve which has great picnic and an interesting history.

Most RV "resorts" we've come across are just parking lots where everyone is stacked on top of each other. We were very surprised at the spacing here. You could fit another RB in between us and the next person. Plus, the trees and bushes make it feel more natural.

Staff greeted us, and took us to our spot even though we arrived several hours before check in. Very easy access to downtown Austin, about a 15 minute drive.

Full hookups. Extremely clean, well maintained and updated. Most spots are pull through, with a few back in spots on one side.

Nice laundromat. AND... they have a propane service where you just put your empty tanks behind your rig, they come pick them up and fill for you and just put it on your tab like having a hotel room. Super cool...

It is right next to I-35, and you can hear the highway noise. But overall, not bad.

A really lovely spot in Dripping Springs, Sunset RV Park is a small park in Hill Country outside Austin (this is not the one near Lake Travis). It’s clear that this is a destination spot for snowbirds to the area as most everyone was set-up for a long-term stay and we saw very few folks come and go during our one-week stay. The park is very quiet with close attention paid to COVID precautions (this is the first park we encountered that was 100% contact free check in).

The park is built somewhat into a hill, so some of the turns are a little tricky and our spot was a bit uneven. The space itself was a very wide asphalt driveway with a picnic table and metal fire ring below a stone wall, perhaps a bit close to our neighbors as I wasn’t totally certain it was definitely ours to use.

The amenities are pretty basic- clean laundry and bathrooms and a good enough wifi signal to allow us to use the internet easily. There’s also propane available on site. I enjoyed the layout of the grounds and each site was afforded some privacy thanks to the set-up and tiered spaces. The weekly rate of $300 was very reasonable.

Excellent access to Hamilton Pool (make reservations!), Reimers Ranch and Westcave Discovery Center. Also about 30 minutes to most of Austin including SoCo, McKinney Falls SP and 6th Street.

Reservations were made by phone with a very friendly woman and, as I mentioned, check in was contactless, so we really didn’t encounter anyone else aside from a friendly wave from folks maintaining the grounds in golf carts. The place is a nice find outside Austin and very close by to family for us, so we’re happy to have found it and will return!

Friendly, hospitable customer service with great communication up front and during stay. The RV park is very clean. Free Wifi works great and good speed! Great cell service as well. Convenient trash and recycle cans on site. Our site had Full Hookups with the option of 30 or 50 amp. Shady spot, spacious and very level site which made backing in much easier! Asphalt drive through campground and wide spots. Reservations can be made over email or phone. The cicadas were in the trees and"sang" us to sleep. It's right off the highway and we were 3 spots to the highway. Even then, the road noise was not terrible. The turn into the park is directly off of 281, so a good idea to slow down ahead of time! We will definitely stay here again when we are in town.

Super clean, well maintained, organized, and location. All amenities are newish and most lots are fairly large. We were in 33, which is on the lake with a very large yard and shade trees. Lakeshore is rocky here though so need water shoes. One of the best rv parks we have stayed at in 6 months time. Has boat morage and lake is clean and clear.

Nice RV resort with river access. Close to the town of sattler. Prices are good. And there is lots of space for the kids to run.

We had an amazing stay at Alamo Fiesta RV Resort! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, Retro Bowl College with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Our stay at this RV resort in Fredericksburg was nothing short of amazing! Two sections, older for permanent or long term; newer well spaced, sites toward office. Five star private bathrooms, pool areas are clean and well kept. Grounds are manicured with fire pit common areas. Two DOG parks, coffee cart on site, and lots of green for dog walking. Only con is non existent WIFI. They do have fiber for long term.

if you have dogs this will probably be the biggest dog park at an rv resort that you have ever been to. everyone is very friendly everything is very clean. the office sells tons of goods that you may need for rv or camping. the grounds are well maintained to feature the natural beauty of the area and with respect to sustainability. the best part about this park is the ample space between sites, making you feel private and spacious.
