The Stonewall Motor Lodge is a property that was built in 1964 to accommodate the press core that accompanied Lyndon B. Johnson while visiting the Texas White House. The property was renovated and brought back to life in 2019 after years of neglect. During the renovation 4-20'W x 40'L back-in RV sites were added. GuideWe stayed at spot 50 in the west look. It was extremely hard to back into, there is a tree right in front that you have to angle around. Site was somewhat level. Bathrooms were a little far away, you could see them from the spot, but it was about a.2 mile walk. Not a lot of street lights throughout the campground made things nice and quiet at night. The site had good Verizon cell service, around 25-50 mbps. The Tmobile service was around the same. The lake was beautiful and there were a ton of trails and spots to sightsee. The big draw for this campground is the proximity to Longhorn Caverns state park, which is a must see and do. Overall the campground was clean, relatively quiet, right next on the lake, with a ton of activities. I would recommend staying at one of the other areas that have bathrooms closer and better sites.

Honestly, the price wasn't too bad. Gated community with concierge service to your site. Most sites had some degree of shade and a decent amount of privacy. The pool and shower facilities are very nice and clean. The 2 dog parks (split into 2 sections each for small and large...so 4 dog parks) really helped keep our dogs entertained. Great rotation of food trucks and activities for kids. 100% recommended for a RV Resort stay.

This is an older park, but the river access makes up for the outdated but clean facilities. Our side of the park was along the river and had great shade. The other side had no trees and seemed to be more full-time folks. Facilities are a little dated but clean. There are tons of full-time folks, and I can see why. The river is right there. Great river access and space to sit and watch the tubers go by. Very few bells and whistles. Some folks said it was much more community oriented before the new managers took over. They used to do movies and food trucks, and things just looked better. But it was nice. It was expensive for what it was, but again... the river access made it great.

This was our very 1st RV park. It set the tone for all our spots moving forward. Clean bathrooms, clean pool/hot tub, clean laundry, well stocked store, gated community, great walking trail around a big lake and near big long horn cows. Met some big white neighbor dogs on the trail, but they kept their distance. Seems like the middle of nowhere, but it's really close to Austin, lockhart, Circuit of the America's. We stayed a week. Will stay again.
