Peaceful camping

We stayed at site 77 and I really liked the privacy of most campsites. This spot had easy access to the bathrooms and to the trail to the lake. My husband and friend attempted to fish on the lakeshore but were unsuccessful. The trail system is apparently expansive, but had been closed while were there due to some flooding. We did explore the Wilderness Run and Sunset trails, both of which we enjoyed. The greenery is very odd here - stark contrast between bald (dead?) trees and bright green grasses and shrubs. Either way, we had a great time camping here over a weekend.

This place is awesome beautiful lake

Nice spot...

It’s a comfortable place to stay along the 290 but there are more preferable places to stay. If Dixieland RV Park wasn’t near I would stay here.

Awesome Hidden Gem

This is the best RV park along the highway. It’s just off the highway so no road noise and very quaint. This is my favorite RV Park on the way to Houston from Austin.

Large spots, comfortable and clean. Great place on your way to Houston.

Hot

I don't suppose I can blame Benbrook for hot weather in August. Pretty campground. Saw deer.

RV Park & Wedding/Event Venue

You can camp and/or get married! I happened upon this place as I was driving from Austin to Houston on the 290. Great place to stop if you are tired or just don’t want to drive anymore. Beautiful scenery and you can have events here which is kind of cool.

Not there

This is not the correct location for this RV Park if it does exist.

Needs Allot of Work

Sommerville has been wrought with flooding and hogs…both running a 'could be' beautiful landscape. Many of the rails were unusable and those available were ruined with hog wallers. Hope the State can get it up and beautiful again soon.

Sad broken down campground.

This used to be a great place to camp but it's not kept up. Hot tub didn't work, hot water didn't work and staff lies to you. Find somewhere else to go.
