    Wonderful site!

My family and I enjoyed our two night stay at site 2! peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Picnic table, fire pit, hammocks and the bathroom/shower is so close! There is also a large sink - perfect for washing dishes. You can park at the site - we set up two tents with space to spare. Right by the river - easy to fish or spend time in the multiple hammocks. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

    Just ok

Camp spots are right on top of each other. Camp hosts were lovely, though. There are better places to camp on this lake…..

    Mid week camping

The pull through site was nice with plenty of shade. The site are far enough apart so you don’t feel you are in top of your neighbors. There was a fire ban at the time of our visit so we weren’t able to enjoy the fire pit. The near by visitor center was interesting.

    Wonderful park and scenery

Have stayed at this park many times and never disappointed. Park is always clean and has all the amenities. Won't find a more friendly and professional staff- second to none. Woods with trails allow for walking, with or without the dogs. You won't be disappointed staying here- highly recommend.

    wonderful

We stayed here for almost five weeks, and we had a wonderful time! A wonderful team and a multitude of wonderful amenities! There is not a lot of traffic or noise because there are a lot of full-time residents and friendly neighbors. The park was spotless, and it featured wide roads, concrete pads that were level, with complete connections. Pet-friendly; our two canine companions absolutely adored the dog wash station. Recommendation heartily! contexto

    Lake Bastrop North Shore Park

    Beautiful location

LCRA Bastrop Lake North Shore was a beautiful location, great beach access, and warm water. We stayed in sites 71, a pull through, and 76, a back in. Sites are large and accommodating a variety of rigs. Undesirableness of the park --Grounds were not kept very well. Huge fire ant mounds everywhere. Grass was pretty tall, making it very difficult to watch for ant mounds, not to mention snakes. We were there for an entire week Monday-Monday, and you would think that they would make sure the Grounds were mowed and ready for a busy weekend, this was not the case.

We have stayed here several times as we have a son and daughter attending A&M. This park is immaculate and check in is always painless. The staff is very friendly and appreciative. We have never had a problem at Hidden Creek.

    Interesting State Park Near Houston

We had no problem finding this interesting state park as our RV GPS took us right to the gate and we had been to this campground (CG) two years ago. This time, we knew better than to park at the office's stop sign to register, which is where most CGs have you stop when registering. There’s a sign that says not to park there but to pull forward. Last time we, didn't read the stop sign and got our butt chewed by a park ranger. As we are disabled veterans, we also got new Texas State Park passes, so we did not have to pay the additional$5 per person state park entry fee on top of the camping fee. You do not have to be a Texas resident but you need to be at least 60 percent service disabled. The same very nice and knowledgeable lady from last time checked us in and we proceeded to pull through site 17 with FHUs, but only 30 AMP. The utilities are placed centered on the site, which is nice. The water pressure here is on the low side at around 30-35 psi. The sites are nearby, but the spacious yard has a cement patio, picnic table, and fire pit. We had no problem getting our 40’ 5th wheel in the site but had to park our F450 at an angle in front of the rig. We got 2 bars on Verizon and were able to place our Starlink to get a shot of the northern sky. There are a lot of mature trees in this CG, so the satellite is going to depend on the site. As we checked in, we were told several trails had opened back up as the area was recovering from heavy rain and flooding. The golf course, now private, had opened back up as well, but there was still a lot of water on the course when we were there in February.

One of the best kept secrets in the Texas State Park system

Great sites of all sizes. Scenic road that is popular with cyclists connecting Bastrop State Park. Wildflowers were in full bloom, and the small lake is great for fishing. Nice, well maintained trails and Park Rangers were very helpful and courteous.
