Best Campgrounds near Manchaca, TX

Super cool to get tucked into the woods. Some of the spots are secluded and others aren’t. I stayed here 2 nights. Down side is it isn’t assigned sites, so if your self contained like my van we went out for the day and came back to someone set up in our spot. Drove around till we found another. Never saw water or power hookups. I’d stay again but probably wouldn’t be my first choice.

We stayed two nights at this campground.  The spots are right on the water, like I can walk 10 steps and throw a fishing line. 

The store has everything a camper might need.  There is firewood for 5 bucks a bag, the staff doesn't mess with people, and it felt safe here. 

I'll be coming back for sure.   What a wonderful experience.

This camp is so much more than an RV camp. River access is down a series of steps. Water is beautifully shallow and slow moving. Office store staff are sweet and friendly. Buy camp necessities, souvenirs, rent tubes for the river. Cabins for rent also. Lots of space in campground. Level sites. Clean bathhouse. Fabulous pool, hot tub. Cute playground for kids.

Decided to head up for a quick trip and we had the most relaxing time. Although water is low there were folks who fished. Showers were clean and RR had plenty of TP and soap. We will def be back.

Nice park with fairly large sites, mostly open understory so not much privacy but Oaks give good shade

Clean and quit. 35$ and a rsther small park. Some sites have a shade. All hookups. A very nice experience!

As said before, its very crowded, especially on the weekends. The lot does have electric and water hookups and sewer at the exit gate aswell as showers and dumpsters. The site is super clean. Overall a more than good visit.

We were taking our first camping trip and this spot is absolutely perfect. We were able to pull into our spot and set up camp easily. Everything is level, easy accessibility, the staff is extremely friendly and maintenance takes care of the property. We will absolutely be back.

This is a nice little park. Don't expect much. It's probably one of the smallest Texas State parks I've been to. I had 5G service with T-Mobile

This park was great. In my opinion. I don't know what it is. You're just off in the woods in your camping spot. The pads for your trailer are made of concrete. The whole park is clean and well maintained. I got to hike a short trail. It was also maintained well.

Nice and clean state park. I'm a ham radio operator and this park is one of the parks that gets activated for parks on the air. I've been doing a couple times and have activated it one time.

I've been to this park a few times I came today to fish for trout. The park has 4G network with T-Mobile cell service. It worked pretty well. I could surf online send and receive text messages and was able to talk to my wife.

One of the standout features of Oak Forest RV Park is its well-maintained facilities. Guests often praise the clean private bathrooms and spacious laundry rooms, making for a more comfortable extended stay Sprunki Game

Me and some friends held a get together, and it was a lovely experience! Hosts were extremely friendly, atmosphere was phenomenal and calming. Trails were super peaceful to walk around in, WILL DEFINITELY VISIT AGAIN!

Rockport is 35 min either way traffic so it’s not a short drive. If you want to eat or shop you’re going to Corpus so keep that in mind. We were here close to a month and had 2 really nice warm sunny days and the rest were gloomy, foggy at night and windy. Corpus seemed to have more sunshine. Corpus drivers drive like demons and cut you off even if they don’t have to- you really gotta be on your toes. The park is nice, clean pools, 2 dog parks, it’s quiet and secure. Office staff were very nice and accommodating. Sites are cement with fire pit and picnic table. Every night they have something going on and they send a text each day with activities. They text you when you get a shipment. Sites are nice distance from one another and nice size. Fit our 43’ Motorhome with dolly. If not for the fact there is absolutely nothing to do in this area- we would stay again.

Beautiful forest, very peaceful. Great place to sleep. The lake is wonderful for swimming or just sitting lakeside.

The campsite offered an ideal, tranquil setting. Several suitable pull-off areas accommodated overnight stays.

However, it is crucial to note that missing the turn necessitates a four-mile detour.

Otherwise, the location perfectly served its purpose as a secure overnight stop during travel.

Nice overnight spot. That's about it. No immenities so be prepared. Easy in and out. Make sure you have blocks for Leveling just in case. Front ofc lady super nice helped guide us in especially with all the I10 construction.
