Upon entering you will notice the excellent upkeep to the state park. The cemetery that sits on the hill is exquisite. Jesse Stuart Lodge has the grounds looking amazing and the building stands out perfectly against the lake. Well marked trails. The campground provides huge sites for plenty of recreational activities and still have space left over. Playgrounds for children. The marina is well marked and the staff in the marina store are outstanding. Very friendly, and helpful. Lake looks great!
This is a beautiful state park with breathtaking views of creeks along the roadway, wonderful landscape designed by nature, good hiking trails, peaceful campground, and a nice lodge. The campground is a bit tight, especially when lots of cars are in visiting the campers, very peaceful though as the night goes on. The road to the lake could use a little TLC. Trails are marked nicely, as well as how to get to the equestrian site, Day use area, pool, lodge, and restaurant. Restaurant was very good buffet and menu items available. Lodge was clean and well kept. Very relaxing state park.
This RV Park is simply the best. Great location in Pigeon Forge, some sites have a creek view, offers fishing (need license), great shade, good size lots, although some may feel cramped, nice camp store, phenomenal restrooms, nice game room, amazing pool with splash pad and jacuzzi. Trolley stop directly by office so no need to drive down into Pigeon Forge. And above all the most outstanding customer service!!

Great for equestrian trailers, convenient location off Interstate and right next to Kentucky Horse Park. Bathhouse, game room, laundry, camp store available. Numerous playgrounds and basketball courts for the kiddos. Swimming pool and for the avid hikers a trail that takes you to downtown Lexington.
From the time you pull onto the entrance, shared with the golf entrance, you feel right at home. Campsites are a great size, plenty of shade, beautiful trees. Visitor center and gift shop available. Massive golf course for those avid golfers. Beautiful mansion to tour. Amphitheater open during the summer. A great family-friendly place to visit.
Offers over 800 acres for you to Boat, fish, camp, hike, and swim. Very secluded and spaces are somewhat tight. There are basketball courts, a gift shop, mini-golf, opportunity for tennis (equipment may be rented).
Great place to learn some history, hike a trail, and view the bison. There are places to have a picnic, and a small campground is available. A visitor center and gift shop is also onsite.
This state park could use a little TLC. The acreage is good, nice views of the lake, and it does offer good campsites, however some are smaller than possibly described so use your best judgment. There is a lodge, trails, and fishing. Tennis courts are down by the Butler-Turpin State Historic House. Mini-golf and a gift shop are also available. It looks at one time there was a golf course but it is absolutely overgrown. There was some road construction during our visit so check the Kentucky State Park site before visiting.
This park is phenomenal! With 3 Campgrounds to choose from you can’t go wrong! Amazing staff, great amenities, well kept and clean. There’s a lodge, restaurant, playgrounds, store, pit toilets, bath houses, swimming pool (fee required). Electric hookups with a dump station, and water to fill your tanks. The only drawbacks were not being able to access the new Water Park at the lodge. If you stay at lodge or in cabins you may use. Also, there is an access fee, if you’re camping it’s only paid once.
This Park & Campground is wonderful. Just the right size for all your camping and outdoor needs. Some spots are tight and a few are directly in front of others so that spectacular water view may not be available if there’s a big RV in front of you. Great fishing opportunity and there’s also a golf course.
