Quiet by the lake

Tent camped here during the week in June and the campground was only about 1/3 full. Quiet and the restrooms and showers were very clean.

Nice family owned csmpground

At one time this campground was a KOA campground so if you are familiar with KOA, you know the basic layout. We stayed here in our tent and while the tent area was closed for receding new grass the owner let us stay in a grassy area under the trees near the office. It was a great stsy and the restrooms and pool were nice and clean. We enjoyed ourselves and cooled off in the hot weather.

Very quiet rural campground

We stayed here in our tent. This is a rural campground, somewhat dated, but very pleasant. It is true that the bathrooms were an older style but they were clean and functional and we found no fault with them. Most of the residents are seasonal and we had nice shady and grassy areas for tent camping, This campground is not near a busy highway, lake, or either area where there is a lot of noise. It is nice and quiet. The hostess was very nice and welcoming. We would certainly stay here again.

Nice, quiet and clean

We stayed here in our tent. The lady who checked us in was exceptionally nice and the campsites were clean quiet and shady. The restrooms were spick and span. We would certainly stay here again.

Well maintained and clean campground

We stayed here based on previous reviews. The campground is great - it is well maintained and the camp staff is friendly and helpful. everything was fantastic and the restrooms are very clean. there is grass at each site as well as a picnic table and big shade trees. The area was quiet and we would gladly stay again.

Much improved campground

We have stayed at this campground several times in the past. Previously it was a bit rundown. Under the new management there is quite an improvement. The bathrooms are new and spacious and very clean. They have upgraded the roads in the campground so that they are no longer potholed and muddy with new gravel and we especially like the fact that the campground personnel were friendly and texted us to put our awnings in as a thunderstorm was coming. The Campground is located just south of downtown and within walking distance of many of the attractions in this lovely historic city.
