Overall it was a pleasant no frills heavy on the rules stay. The resort is the cleanest property we have ever stayed at. The restrooms/shower facilities (free)are beyond first class. If you are looking for a fire pit- look elsewhere. If you are looking for quiet- look elsewhere. The train traffic is constant and loud. If you are looking for quite don't camp here on Monday. Landscapers are here from 8(more like 730) to 5. World longest blow and go. Very difficult to hold a conversation at your site and it is even worse when the train passes. The office staff was pleasant but distant boarding on unfriendly. The town of Lake City was deep in history with several cool shops and restaurants.
We camped here over the weekend with the pups. The state park has 2 different campgrounds. We decided for the Lakeshore one. It's pretty big with over 100 campsites. They have the usual amenities like fire pit, and picnic table with bench. Our was private, but the sites in the middle are not. The bathhouse was very clean with nice hot showers. The park has several trails, a visitor center, cabins on the water, at least 2 boat ramps with a bait shop. There are no trash cans near the campsites, there is one big dumpster at the entrance of the campground. It's about 1.30h to Folly Beach. We would definitely camp here again.
We made our way here just before Hurricane Milton hit Florida and stayed a week right next to the river. Very busy during the day with local fishermen. There's a lot of garage spread out, we cleaned up our area the best we could. Close to a busy highway but it didn't bother us. The river is gorgeous and we spent a good amount of our time here kayaking.
The.grounds are immaculate, the showers and laundry (Free) are well maintained and the dog park has a water fountain for the dogs. It's within walking distance to the various restaurants in town .
A great park...except for the trains. The rails are within one block of the campground and the trains run frequently, day and night and are use their horns A LOT.
If you are a sound sleeper and have a really loud AC in your rig, enjoy the place, otherwise, make it a short stay.
What a wonderful recreation base. Where there is everything for a comfortable stay. I rested and gained strength. We traveled with a group. Just what is needed for students.Because there were too many of them in the cage, and it was good that phd proposal writing services always helped with it. We finally got a break from studying and writing. It really helps a lot. A few more words about this place. It is beautiful.
Hello, I was just choosing which next trip to plan. I am a student and I really like to spend my holidays traveling. It's good that there are site ghostwriting essay that can help with this. Because during my studies, I get very tired from the workload, especially I don't like the number of essays. Whether you're looking to unwind by the water, explore nearby attractions, or enjoy a range of on-site facilities, Hideaway RV Resort caters to all your needs for a memorable stay.
Bass Lake was at the right place for an overnight right off of I-95. Although right next to I-95, the drone of the traffic fades into the background once you pull into the well landscaped campground (Bass Lake as the setting of a wooden campground) with absolutely level sites. Staff and owner were wonderful - and what I learned about coffee from the owner (Frizzy's Coffee House) is why I'm going to route every trip possible through Dillon in the future - more knowledgeable than any barista I've ever met, I experienced what coffee ROASTED the day before tastes like!
The South Carolina Forest
This was a nice spot with flat, river front dispersed sites for tents or boondocking. It was easy to discern the campsites and had an open parking lot. There were a few sites that are not safe to drive to because of very loose sand. It is safer to park and explore on foot before driving up to those sites.
We really enjoy this little state park. It’s small, quiet, and clean. We use it all the time to “test” new camping gear and setups before we travel further from home on longer trips.
Stayed for a week during ArtFields Competition. There is nothing about the campground that needs changed. Full hook-up, great wifi, clean like new bathrooms and free laundry. Trash is picked up every morning at the site. Gated grounds that is well maintained. There are some long term residents but everyone is quiet and polite. The train is quite loud, and the town is small and doesn't have a lot to do so it's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. If your in town for a reason, then it's the perfect place...but just not a camping destination.
We stayed here for our son’s first birthday, in campsite 30! It was beautiful and we felt like we had plenty of privacy. Our site had a trail attached to the back of it which was really nice for hiking and it was perfect distance from the bathroom! On the topic of the bathroom, the toilets were CLEAN! And I mean we were there for 24 hours and the bathroom was cleaned at least twice. Really nice, they might look a little scary on the outside though but don’t mind that any bit.
For people that love hammocks, site 29 (right next to ours) has a bunch of perfect hammock trees. If we go again we will try to stay in that spot! Great place to stay.
So nice, new park with only 16 sites but adding 65 more to be open very soon
and recharge before continuing on your journey. The view from this spot is breathtaking, with rolling hills and a clear blue sky stretching out before you. Take a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature and the peacefulness of this place. Whether you are traveling alone or with loved ones, this is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. So take a deep breath, soak in the surroundings, and enjoy this moment of tranquility before hitting the road again.
We stopped heading south and north along I-95 to and from Florida. Very easy off and on I-95. Plenty of available spaces in off-season. The campground is small and quiet. Camp Host was very helpful. Sites were spaced reasonably far apart but there is no privacy between. Not all sites have a water view, but most appeared fairly level. Not all sites have sewer access. Our only complaint was lots of smoke from campfires and grills. Would stay again.
Great for a pull through spot right off I-95 while traveling! Campground is beautiful and clean, with a pond, park, large laundry room, and easy access dump station. Staff was very friendly and got me a spot right away for a good price. There are spots for every size camper. Only downside is it gets a bit messy/ muddy if it’s raining.
We were at site 46, which is near the entrance and the camp host. Short walk to the bathhouse directly behind. Site has good trees for a hammock and near a path down to the lake for fishing/picnic/swimming. Beware there is a sharp drop off across from the site, so make sure whoever is backing in has a spotter out front.
Nice campground. Campground has hiking/biking trails. Lake views from our site. Shower house was less than perfect, but adequate.
I am the owner of this property and we adore it here! Come meet our family, sit by the fire, enjoy a nice quiet time with lots of space for your kids or furbabies to run! We are fenced in on all sides and surrounded by woods! There is a public landfill 1/2 mile away and there is a Dollar General 1/2 mile away!
I sent an email checking on one night availability and the response from Erin was “We only do monthly rentals.”
Jake from the Dyrt here! Country Lane is a great local spot with a convenient location for an overnight stay. Check them out and leave a review about your stay on the Dyrt!
Super friendly staff, great location, waterfront camping and I can bring my boat. We had a great time. The problem is all the annual residents don’t follow their own rules. No one is supposed to drive trough the campsites, people were driving trough and walking through our campsite at all hours.
There is nothing quite like being right on the banks of the Black River! Truly stunning and my favorite place to be!
Open lots under the pines.
My family and I travel to Bennettsville, SC frequently and we usually mooch dock with family. In the past, there haven't been any campgrounds close to the area. Recently, we stumbled upon LumberJack RV on our last visit, desperately needing a place to empty the tanks and the owner made us feel very welcome. The RV Park is nice, and the staff are awesome. In today's world it's not often that you come across great customer service. If you are just traveling through and need an overnight stay or looking for a nice quiet RV park in small town America, don't hesitate to visit LumberJack RV Park.
Jake from the Dyrt here! Levy Riceland Farm is new to the Dyrt and they are ready for campers looking to relax on this peaceful farm, with fishing on the property and close proximity to Georgetown, South Carolina its a must see spot. Check them out and share some pictures of your stay on the Dyrt!
We stopped here for a night on our way back to Florida. We were on C5 which was a very large pull through and relatively level. We did not even have to bring out our leveling blocks, the auto leveler was able to handle it well. Power was stable and water pressure was good. Only things we did not like is that every site was just dirt and there was not much shade at our site.
