Huge campground with nice wooded sites

We stayed with a group that rented cabins and it was nice to be tucked away in the back of the campground with large wooded sites.

Activities for the family, friendly staff, and right next to Ohio Pyle that offers great outdoor recreation.

KOA - Monthly Stay

Camping in a 33 ft travel trailer with slides. Verizon service is great. Wifi in extended parking doesn’t work well. The staff are helpful and polite. We are in the extended stay part of the campground which is quiet and slightly more secluded than the other spots.

Rhododendron Campground

The sites vary in size and setup. Some seemed rather small or awkward. Site 6 is huge and has plenty of flat area for a tent. Site 7 which is pictured is also pretty large. These two along with site 5 would be good for a group. They’re all close to the bathroom but site 5 has a cut through trail…

Nice place to stay

Very nice campsite lots of people but everyone was very friendly. Heads up when booking only a few areas allow pets. Also on this app it says drinking allowed not the case. Had a great time with lots to see and do in ohiopyle

Be Sure to Pick the Right Loop

There are two main loops in this campground. One that is pet friendly and more of a pitch-your-tent-in-the-yard thing and another that is pet-free and wooded. We didn't realize and stayed in the first one. Dogs were barking at all hours and there's no privacy. We drove through the other one and it…

Campervan with kids

Many many unlevel spots in nonelectric sites. Only one playground in full hookup RV area, hard to get to. Beach access hike is at least 1.7 miles walk from loop C. You have to drive to many of the hikes and beach especially if you have children. Positives are it's very quiet. You don't see many…

Hidden Gem

We absolutely love this campground! It's well kept, low key and super relaxing. The small park has plenty to offer with the lake (swimming, paddling and fishing) and trails (hiking, running and biking). We come here a couple of times per year! Bathhouse is extremely clean with great water pressure.…

Eh, at Best

Originally we booked a "creekside" campsite. Which was especially disappointing, as it was a tiny gravel lot, hardly big enough for two small tents, a picnic table, and to park our car. Luckily we were able to switch to the tent only area due to some cancellations.

The tent only areas are…

Lovely, wooded campground and park

We enjoyed our three-day stay at Raccoon Street State Park in Pennsylvania. We used it as a jumping off point to explore Pittsburgh.

The campground is large and wooded, with good-sized sites. There are five different loops, so campsites are well-spread out throughout the area. One tip: each loop…

Well my site had no shade but cooled off quickly. Had some construction across from us. Not much to do but go to the beach.

Rhododendron Campsite

Each site was massive with privacy from your neighbors. There is a great access to the trails from the campsite and a short walk to the overlook. Depending upon your location the bathrooms can be a hike. Sites 3-7 are good locations.

We love the diversity

I take my wife and dogs here all the time. I love the trails and it has great camping spots. The trails are easy and maintained and my dogs love them too.
