Mylan Park, near Morgantown, West Virginia, is a straightforward camping location that caters to those looking for convenience and accessibility. It’s essentially a large parking lot, but it’s well-situated near the university and offers full hookups for RVs, making it a practical choice for travelers.

The area is clean and level, with ample space for parking. Visitors have noted that it’s a great layover spot, especially for those attending events at the nearby campus. As one camper mentioned, “The lot is level and the spots are pretty large, with different types of hookups.”

While the campground doesn’t have traditional amenities like fire pits or picnic tables, it’s adjacent to Mylan Park, which features turf fields and pavilions. This means you can enjoy outdoor activities and community events right next door. Bare bones

No frills and as basic as it gets. Large lot with plenty of space for parking. Our Rv gps took us in exit 152. We have a 5th wheel that’s 46’ long and this way in was not the best. I’d recommend exit 155. Lots of shopping and gas stations in and around the area.

Check the schedule before you book

We love it here most of the time it’s close to Morgantown so it’s perfect for university events. Really close to campus. They have full hookups & partial hookups. It is really just a parking lot in between two community centers and adjacent to Mylan Park with turf fields, a gazebo & enormous pavilions. So enormous that last night one pavilion hosted Morgantown High Schools homecoming dance, which was adorable. But in another pavilion 500 yards away there was a rave. Hundreds of people listening to Electronic Dance Music (EDM) that went on til 2am. I spoke to several employees over the course of our visit here and no one ever mentioned. Those shows are incredibly loud. The bass was shaking the RVs. It is awful music. The show was from 8pm to 2am. Six hours.
I only took off one star for this though, because we have been here several times & this was the only time there was an issue like this & everyone that works here is nice & help when you ask.

Level, clean, and open!

While the park itself is essentially a big parking lot, it is smack in the middle of plenty to do! The lot is level and the spots are pretty large, with different types of hookups. I'd recommend as both a layover and a destination.

Decent

While there are not many trails and no camping, the area is pretty with rolling hills and gorgeous sunsets to be seen. This is a sports complex with many activities available.

Convenient Location with Full Hook Ups

There aren’t a whole lot of full hook up camping spots in the Morgantown area. Mylan park has a bunch of full hook ups in a parking lot convenient to I 79.

Pros: Easy to get to Decent sized “parking spaces” Available on holiday weekend Good price ($40/night) Full hookups (bring your long sewer tube, I used 3 x15’ as it’s at the tail of the spot) Fields & Grassy area adjacent. Good for kids biking & running around Same park as awesome aquatic center (although we didn’t use it bc if covid)

Cons: Parking lot No fire pits Huge puddle at site 27 despite dry conditions Nothing to break up noise Football practice started at 7:30 am right behind my camper. VERY loud with whistles, cheering, cars, etc. Thankfully, we’re early risers. No shade
