    KOA Lake Milton Berlin Lake

    Easily accessible

Nice and flat grounds. Alot of sites for its size. Very nice lake and inflatables in swim area. Good fishing lake as well. Lake milton is a jump down the road for boating. But the hiway noise was just too much for the kids to sleep, and to enjoy a night at the fire having to yell at times.

    Outstanding site in great campground

Stayed on a premium patio site and loved it. The campground and staff were awesome. Level site, great hook ups, awesome WiFi and cable. Clean facilities, 3 lakes (one with a fishing pier), 2 dog parks, and super friendly staff. 30 min to Cleveland. Walmart, gas stations and restaurants within 5 miles. Just off Ohio Turnpike, but can't hear it. Definitely recommend this KOA

    Silver Springs Campground

Great for the price and location

Stayed here to be close to the NP and it is a great little campground for a reasonable price. Big dog park with pond on the other side of the park. Sites are uneven but my favorite part was the wooded path.

    Silver Springs Campground

    Nice campground near Cuyahoga

We were in the area exploring Cuyahoga Nat Park and found Silver Springs. It was 18$ for a site with electric hook ups (15$ if you are a Stow resident) No option for no paying less for no hook-up camping. Water close by and port a pottie style bathrooms close to the camp sites. There are flush toilets a walk away but we didn’t use them. Sites are big and grassy but not super level. Wasn’t a big issue for us but could be for a bigger camper. The campground was calm and quiet. Lots of trails close by. Dog park down the street as well as a play ground and fishing pond! We had a great few days staying here and will be back if we are even passing thru Stow again.

    Silver Springs Campground

    Lots of options!

We really loved this little spot! It appealed to all of what we were looking for, our camp host was awesome. There was even a dog park within walking distance- a lot of trails to explore too. No showers and the Porto potties weren't the cleanest... But they were functional. Very hospitable locals- we were invited to a square dancing party that evening in the park! Very comfy and safe.

    Silver Springs Campground

    Great parking

The bathrooms are portojons and there are no showers, however there is THE best dog park I have ever seen in this area. So my dogs loved this campground more than me and that was worth it. It was dark enough to see a space station cross the sky at night. The camping spaces are rather close, but so many people want to camp there, because of its proximity to everything amazing.

Rose Point Park Cabins & Camping

    Family and pet friendly

OverLl great campground. The sites are a little close together but we still enjoyed our time there. Staff is super friendly and there was plenty for the kids to do, pool, arcade, fishing, and playground. Decent size dog park to let your dogs run and decent trails nearby.

Campgrounds in this northeast Ohio area offer varied terrain from lakefront sites to wooded settings. Temperatures range from summer highs in the 80s to cool fall nights in the 40s, making late summer through early autumn the most popular camping season.

What to do

Fishing at Berlin Lake: Mill Creek Camping on Berlin Lake offers multiple access points for fishing. "A very nice and clean campground with many access point to the lake. Our camp site was in close proximity to the restroom facilities. We were fourtante that our spot was right beside the lake and we could keep the boat docked their during our stay," notes Renee G.

What campers like

Lake views: Waterside camping spots offer direct access to the shore. "One of my favorite campgrounds! Nice boat dock! Love the lake front sites! And excellent price!" reports Sami Jo L. about Mill Creek Camping. The lakefront sites typically cost under $20 per night for up to 8 people.

Swimming amenities: Nelson-Kennedy Ledges Quarry Park provides unique swimming opportunities. "Beautiful water, amazing folks, great food vendors, wonderful concerts, Swimming, Cliff Diving, very free and fun!" explains R E., highlighting the active atmosphere at this location.

Hiking trails: Natural formations create interesting hiking options. Only one steep hill to climb and it wasn't bad at all," says Scott M. about his experience at Nelson-Kennedy Ledges.

What you should know

Varying site conditions: Campsite quality can differ significantly even within the same campground. "Gets loud and crowded on the weekend as usual, the shower house is pretty nice. The water is muddy and the shoreline is sharp rocks," warns Alika T. about Mill Creek Camping, providing important context about water conditions.

Seasonal considerations: Most campgrounds operate from spring through fall. "Only open in the summer," notes J M. about Mill Creek Camping, while Punderson State Park operates year-round for winter camping enthusiasts.

Noise levels: Highway and camper noise can affect certain locations. "The hiway noise was just too much for the kids to sleep, and to enjoy a night at the fire having to yell at times," explains Fred R. about his experience at KOA Lake Milton.

Tips for camping with families

Kid-friendly activities: Cuttys Sunset Camping Resort offers numerous organized activities. "Cutty's is good old fashioned family at its best! They've been in the business for years and it shows! From catch and release fishing to laundry facilities, the staff at Cutty's has thought of everything," explains Brannon M.

Playground access: Several campgrounds maintain dedicated play areas. "We had a great time. The campground was clean, the bathrooms were updated and also extremely clean. The campground had so many amenities its hard to name them all! My 2 boys had so much fun at the lake and the playground and the bounce pad ect ect!" shares Casey L. about his experience at KOA Lake Milton.

Swimming for children: Dedicated swimming areas with appropriate depths exist for younger campers. "The pool is only 3.5' deep. Mainly for kids, which is alright but wish that information was on there site," notes Scott B. about Cuttys Sunset Camping Resort.

Tips from RVers

Site leveling: Prepare for potentially uneven grounds at some locations. "Very few full hookups. Rest of the sites only have 15-20 amp service. The lots are not even close the level. You will need a lot of blocks to get close to level. Saw one RV with auto levelers with his tire about foot off the ground," cautions Coy about Streetsboro-Cleveland SE KOA.

After-hours arrival: Call ahead if arriving late. "Needed a place to park for the night driving across country. Please arrive before 7pm (office closes) to get a last minute spot if available always call ahead," advises Brian D. about Ridge Ranch Family Campgrounds.

Site spacing: Research site dimensions carefully before booking. "The place was very clean and everyone at the campground was very friendly highly recommend this place to anyone," shares Steve S. about Cuttys, though Scott B. adds, "The main thing is the spots are soooo small. You open your door and there is a picnic table and then the next camper."
