Great spot!

We were pleased to find a nice, clean, quiet campground here.

Lots of space

We were last minute and got the last spot for the weekend in the South Loop. Looks like the North Loop may be more popular because it has views of the river.

Our site was a double pull through and because of the way it is set up our fire ring and table were opposite of our front door! The other…

Scenic wind swept lake oasis

A large lake dropped into the canyon formations of the northern grasslands area of the country. Here the farm lands transition into more pocketed hills and canyons and here you’ll find this beautiful, clean and kept campsite off the main highways. Quiet and wind swept, cool and tranquil; it’s a…

Beautiful view

Great view right by the water. Nice and quiet. The outhouse toilets we're not the best. There were an insane amount of flies there. You get attacked by a hoard of flies by just opening in the door.

Needs major improvements

I wish I could say it was a good experience but within the first 24 hrs, proved otherwise. Right away I received a call about my dog barking. She is a new mom and very protective, so she alerts us when someone she doesn't know is near or another dog. Never after quiet hours. Her pups play like…

Clean truth here!

The camp around this area is very plain. And when I’m mean plain I mean the GREAAAT Plains! We had a whole bunch of fun learning about the camp and General Custard. There is a bunch of history and many happy faces in this area. Everything you would need here is only a stone throw away. We enjoyed…

Space—-and lots of it!

I throughly enjoyed this park. Very affordable and plenty of room between campers. We had so much fun riding bike and viewing the river!

We viewed the Custard House and it was very interesting as well, it’s a must see!

This site was very quiet and the park rangers are always patrolling it…

Lots of activities and history for your stay!

Another well maintained campground and even better state park with tons of different things to do with the entire family. For the campground there are tons of trees that offer great shade and trails for walking. The shower house is very clean and felt"modern" for a state park. If you like history…

Beautiful, Quiet, Historical

This was our maiden voyage in our first camper! South loop Campsite 36 was easy to park. Our electrical and water hookups were close. Dump station was easy. We were right next to comfort station which was well maintained. Kid Park was new and close to our site. There was lots of bike and walking…

Best of both worlds

Very open but when you get to your spots they are nice and private. Really cool thing is when you want to have adult time the bar/restaurant is not far and you can all take a walk there and do that for the night if you want. Easy access to the water as well

Great Family Campground near Bismarck

Very nice campground right on the Missouri River. Lots of walking/bike trails, playground for kids and places to fish on the river. Some pull through and other shared campsites share a water source so make sure to bring a water splitter as sometimes there is not one on the spigot and campground…

Nice campground

Great campground for the family. There is a nice restroom and each site is spacious. There is also a nice dump station available too.

One of our favorite places to camp!

This is a great campground that is well maintained. Elbow woods, sanish, and van hook loops all have 30/50 amp and water for campers, there is also a primitive loop. Elbow woods is more spaced out and has great views of the lake. Group spots here are fun but you need to book the day they come…

Beautiful

Stayed at Fort Abraham Lincoln 3 nights last June. Beautiful park on the Missouri River. Campground was clean and quiet. Nice shower house. Large, level sites. Fort Abraham Lincoln was General Custer’s headquarters before he left for the Little Big Horn. Lots of hiking and history and wildlife.
