Butte View Campground

Quiet campground, but many spaces taken by what looked like seasonal contractors. Some sites had electric hook ups only, others had electric and water. Very small playground in center of campground.

The site itself is pretty and it has hot showers. The major downside is that the mosquito problem is one of the worst I have ever seen. If you’re in an RV and plan to stay inside then no problem. It is a problem if you’re in a tent. Also, the board says you’re supposed to notify the host if staying. The host like to be hidden because I walked the grounds twice and could never find the host. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you can. Reservation and payment must be done online according to the board. ATT phone was good.

Well cared for campground, restrooms clean, easy access from the road. We stayed in an electric only loop and almost had it to ourselves. Nice town with a museum and Yesterday’s Farmers has old farm equipment on display.

Butte View Campground

Nicely spaced, clean and well maintained. If you don’t need hookups, then the Lions Club campground is a great ( cheaper @ $12) alternative - also a free site a few miles past Butte View is an option - on Gascoyne Lake, dry camping

We did not need FHU, so cannot comment on utilities. We had 50 amp and it was good. Found internal sites in loops a little weird ( in alignment), but we stayed on outer loop and had a bit more room.

Very flat area for camping. Nice level sites with full hook up 30/50 amp. Great Verizon service. Wifi but not real strong unless you park close to the repeater.
