We camped here two nights to visit the park. It was awful. Too close together. Couldn’t even relax outside. I have to say it was the worst campground of our two month trip. Wished we would have stayed at Cottonwood. You can use the showers here. The town itself was mostly closed up, tacky gift…

Close quarters if you need electricity

Space is pretty tight here. We grabbed two sites, side by side. 305 and 306. We had a 3-person tent and a small pop-up camper. Not much room at all (see photo). There was basically enough room to share a picnic table and that was it. I will say the tent camping non-electric sites were bigger and…

Gorgeous on the little Missouri river

Nice bathrooms with showers! Amazing views and trails run right through the campgrounds. Sites are ver open so it’s a bit windy and the coyotes are out at night but they didn’t bother. We enjoyed listening to them and the stars are amazing.

Small Tent Area within Equestrian Campground

This site was massive and would've had room for 5 or 6 tents (not sure on limits though).

It was right next to an equestrian area, so some horses being trained and whinnying just next door.

No cell service (AT&T at least) but quick proximity to Medora and Teddy Roosevely National Park!

Nice little state park

The road coming in has some pretty steep hills. Our site was good for hammocks. Nice that the horse area was separated from the non-horse area. The showers appear to be coin-op but were free when we were there.

Great location and cozy spots

Close spots just outside of Medora and Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Some spots are very close, but have stunning views of the buttes behind and the Little Missouri River. Individual showers and a real desert feel.

Beautiful and peaceful

With mature trees near the Little Missouri River, this campground is quite lovely. Showers and utilities all available and we’ll located. The only drawback is my preference for space. The lots are small. Campers are lined up in rows which, even though efficient, don’t provide space for much…

Great Spot

Every site seemed ideal! The self check-in process was easy, the camp host was friendly, and the showers were clean!

Good base site with a few views

Came in as the sun began to set and it had great views driving into Medora. Half of the sites are equestrian half standard rv with power only, remaining few are tent style that are off a little from the rest. Great space between sites. Showers require quarters :) Bathrooms are a little more rustic…

  • Our setup. it was interesting to set up at night in the dark. :)
  • I had to zoom in for this pic of neighbors site
  • Sites are definitely spaced out

Good location

Clean campground close to TRNP and Medora. The pool was closed when we were there after Memorial Day in near 100 deg heat. Spots are CLOSE together. It looked like some RV awnings were touching the RV next door. They weren't but it looked that closed. The staff was awesome. Access to Little…

Beautiful campground but close to 1-94

This campground is small, beautiful, well-maintained, and convenient to TRNP. We are tent campers. There are two small loops. There are two shower rooms in the Mandan loop (appears to be the RV loop) - one requires quarters and one does not and they are side-by-side). Water is hot. Flush toilets…

Good for stop over

Good location, pretty. Sites are small, tight and un-level. Close to Theodore Roosevelt NP. Good cell reception. Good for stop over only. Site 2 gives you room to park and put chairs out, some of the others are so close you can almost touch your neighbor standing in your door!

Amazing Views

The campground is across the LittleMo river and has amazing views. Direct access to the Maah Daah Hey trail for hiking riding or biking. A great hike amid the cattle. 3 loops to camp, livestock accessible, but no electric and a pump for water. A variety of back In and pull thru sites. Dump…
