Level site with good drainage made this a nice spot for a 3-day rest during a time of limited personal mobility. Washrooms are at quite a distance from this site so we were glad to be completely self-contained. Accessibility to both beach swimming areas is risky for those needing to use a cane or…
Had fun, although it was our maiden voyage. Spots are very close together but most people are pretty quiet. Has a pool and a fishing pond, however, it was extremely muddy to no fault of theirs.
Wonderful staff we were there from Monday (Labor Day) thru Wednesday so very quiet. I understand it is busy on weekends and holidays but we are lucky enough to camp during the week.
Site was large and very level. Bought new Anderson levelers and haven’t even had a chance to use them.
Restrooms were nice and clean, owner was very sweet, sites good size and those on Loop B were back in and shaded/private.

This is a quite place way back in the mountains of Southern Virginia. The roads going into the campground is very narrow and steep up and downs. My breaks were gone by the time I got to the entrance. Mostly boaters go here to camp and mostly locals. The site has water, 50,30,and 110 hookups. No…

The police visited us bc we were drinking outside of our camper. He was very nice and explained no alcohol allowed. This is clearly stated and we were in the wrong. Spaces are not private but the lake is beautiful. I can see where some people would love this campground. We canoed and that was fun.
What campsite number is that at Salthouse? Thanks.
Lots to do here, great trails for hiking. The campground was nice, some spots were more level than others and there wasn’t much screening between sites, but in all the setting was beautiful and the park was worth the visit. The bathhouse was clean . The hot water in the shower wasn’t that hot,…
Nice swim area, nice roads but the sites could use some updating. A lot of them are sloped. Very hard to level out a RV. Playground could use updating and maybe a fence around since it’s so close to the road. Bathrooms need updating.
Our family has camped here multiple times. Great place to stay due to clean facilities and well kept sites. The lake is perfect for little ones and even grownup kids. Also love the trails that surround the campground. Would definitely recommend for a camping trip.
Easy access right off 85, but far enough its quiet. Nice really long pull through sites, place is well maintained and lots to offer, whether passing through or wanting to explore the area. Nice clean bathhouse, modern, fairly new, full hoopups include cable and wifi, you wont be disappointed. They…

This weekend was a great adventure in SW Virginia. We stayed in a Yurt. It has no electricity or water but the bath house was close. The yurt has a double bed, a twin trundle, a couch and some chairs, and a table and chairs. It also has a large wrap around deck with rocking chairs. A picnic…

Nice level sites, some open, some wooded, but most are fairly close. Several full-time residents, but mostly for campers. We were in site 23, which was wooded, so we had no satellite coverage. It was 30A/FHU. OTA TV is pretty decent with an omni antenna. Campground WiFi reached 0.85 MB/s, but data…
Great spot for tent camping! Loved the hillside spots bc of all the trees and the multiple levels that the spots are on. They are all built out and flat. Bathrooms are clean and campground was quiet. I had issues finding out if pets were allowed... they are! My dog and I had an awesome time and we…

We always enjoy staying at Corp campgrounds when we travel. The sites are consistently level, spacious, with reliable facilities (dumpstation, electric service, potable water, bath house. And you can always count on a pristine body of water for camping and kayaking. The launch ramp was adjacent to…
