This campground is very clean and the staff is great. Water park is awesome. Large trail to go for a little walk. Very reasonably priced. Will go again.
Great campground. We stayed in a tent. Had some friends stay next to us in a class b. A small trailer would fit, nothing big. No W/E/S but great place. Come early to reserve. You must set up camp immediately. No reservations. They're are 2 bathrooms with flushing commodes. There are water…

This place has it all! Swimming, kayaking, boat launch, small hiking trail. Sites have a fire pit, picnic table (it’s really heavy!) and a grill. I loved how each site is fairly unique. Many have steps to go down to the fire pit area. Lots of sites on the water. Site 32 was on a little cul-de-sac…

The campground has a nice playground, large sites with grass and rock parking pads. Full hookups. All sites are in the sun. This campground is very convenient for touring through Mayberry.
My wife and I have been hunting for a new close camp ground. We may have a winner! Midway RV is very clean, quiet and friendly. The pool is fantastic and close to areas to go shopping or sightseeing.

Stayed in site A31, a pull-through site. No sites here have hook-ups. This campground is on a beautiful lake. There is no swimming on the lake(its pretty shallow) but awesome for kayaking and paddleboarding. There is wifi at the boat rental area, an easy walk from all parts of the campground where…
I think this was probably the cleanest campground we have stayed. Sites are mostly level, but the orientation of most of the sites seemed odd to us. Our site was a back-in site and the pad with the picnic table and fire ring was on the opposite side as the door of the camper. This was very…
Mayberry is big rig friendly even though it is set on a rolling hill/mountain. All sites are gravel and clean.
The campground doesn't have much to do, but it is a great place to stop a couple of nights to see Mayberry (My. Airy) and all the history of the Andy Griffith show.
Enjoyed my stay at the Helton Creek campground. Very peaceful and friendly
We booked a full week here in June. Never again.
Let me start with the pros...the staff is attentive and always working. The pond is nice with the ducks swimming around. Great location to thenwineries.
There are no trees to be found near the sites, and in the heat of summer you need some…
This is wooded campground a short distance off of I-40. Beautiful pool with bounce house and playground. Concrete pads. Quiet at night. Great for relaxation.
Very nice private campground for overnight RV stay. Full hookups, clean and level spaces. Neighbors are close, but not too bad. Little shade, no swimming, nothing much here. A couple catch & release ponds.

Beautiful small campground and everything is done top notch! Prettiest bath house I've ever seen! Pull thru sites with concrete pads. No leveling needed. Couldn't be easier to pull in and set up. Very quiet.
I have driven past geological knob numerous times in my NC travels, but this time I was able to visit. I usually travel 'by the seat of my pants' and hope to find an available site and being early week I was able to easily secure a site.
Of the 42 campsites, less than a dozen were filled, so I had…

The previous 2 reviews are incorrect. This is not near the parkway. There is a boone fork on the parkway but it is not this one. This is a old national forest campground that has been shut down several years. You can still use it but not maintained and is a good walk from the gate to the old…
