Reservations are available at this drive-in campground outside Elkin, North Carolina, where sites run $25 per night and RVs up to 38 feet can use a pull-through parking pad. The property sits directly alongside a creek and river, which reviewers consistently mention as the main draw. Cell service appears limited based on multiple accounts, so downloading directions or offline maps before arrival is worth the effort.
The site layout includes a fire pit, picnic table, and a patio area, with firewood available on the property. A porta-potty handles sanitation. Pets are welcome, alcohol is permitted, and trash service is provided. One reviewer described the fire pit setup as "excellent" and noted that the parking pad works well for both tent campers and RVs.
River access is the consistent thread across reviews. Campers report falling asleep to the sound of the water, and at least one couple noted they wished they had booked more than a single night. The owner, Tanner, has been cited for clear directions and straightforward check-in, though one review raises concerns about the cancellation policy during severe weather, which is worth reading before booking.
The town of Elkin is close enough for resupply runs if campers need to stock up on gear or groceries before settling in. Byrd's Branch Campground and Country Store is another option in the area for campers who want a different setup.
