Well worth the stop!

Me and the wife needed a overnight stay on a longer trip and this place did not disappoint. Tanner was easy to deal with, check-in was super simple, and the river did not disappoint. The only issue we had was we only had one morning to enjoy it all. We will be back.

Not flexible on cancellations/moving dates doesn't follow cancel policy

My husband and I tried to cancel on the 3 day mark of the Dyrt's cancellation policy and was met apathy and complete unhelpfulness. The owner would not come to an agreement to let us cancel for a full refund when we were on the third day before our reservation, and would not allow us to move our dates to a different weekend. There is a literal hurricane coming - the owner argued that he would not be able to book the campsite within the 3 day policies notice. Of course not with a hurricane coming!

Additionally, the owner argued to only give us a half refund instead of allowing us to choose a different weekend, even though we were within the 3 day cancellation! We wanted to come camp there but now we never will. He said he texted us and never did. It felt like talking to a frat boy anytime we communicated about this.

I've had to cancel plenty of times on airbnb and hip camp and even on the Dyrt, and have had owners graciously give a full refund under weather circumstances, or let us choose different dates for no additional cost.

We will never book this spot again because of the customer service from the owner. This is not how you treat your potential customers. We would've even spread the word and told our friends and family to come camp here. We would've come back too. You just lost so much potential business.

All for $30, congratulations on your $30.

Much needed getaway!

The spot was cozy and nestled right by the creek , the sound was lovely just hanging out and falling asleep . We tent camped so we set everything up next to the fire pit The picnic table is great for lunches and the parking pad . Excellent fire pit and fire wood provided!! Can’t wait to bring our whole family next time . Tanner was thorough in his directions and it was easy to find ! Close to Elkin if you need to get supplies before .

Great Secluded RV Dry Camping

This site has a 38 foot pull through parking pad with a large patio and nice fire pit. It is dry camping with a Porta potty on the propety. The best part is this site is right by the river. Great place to get away and enjoy the sights and sounds of good ol nature.
