Best RV Parks & Resorts near Woodland Park, NJ

Several RV parks near Woodland Park provide full hookup options for motorhome travelers. Liberty Harbor RV Park in Jersey City maintains 90 sites with electric, water, and sanitary dump facilities, though fires are not permitted. Mountain Top RV Park accommodates big rigs with water and electric hookups on sites that support tents, RVs, and cabin camping. Black Bear RV Park in Florida, NY features 74 year-round sites with water, electric, and sewer connections, including both 30 and 50-amp service options. Mahlon Dickerson Reservation offers electric and water hookups with spacious, level sites. "We stayed at site 15 for 5 days. The sites are nicely wooded, very well spaced, fairly level with 50A service and water hookup," noted one visitor.

Navigating to these campgrounds requires careful planning, particularly when towing larger rigs. Some locations have specific routing recommendations to avoid difficult turns and steep grades. Cell service varies significantly throughout the region, with several reviewers noting spotty coverage for major carriers. Pleasant Acres Farm RV Resort operates seasonally from April through October, making advance reservations essential during peak periods. Most parks accommodate pets but with varying restrictions. Dump stations are available at larger facilities, though not all parks offer sewer hookups directly at the sites. Visitors traveling with larger Class A motorhomes or fifth wheels should call ahead to confirm site dimensions and access conditions, as some parks have limited maneuvering space.

    Kymers Camping Resort

Fun, friendly & nestled in the woods

We stayed at Kymer's on a whim for a weekend, so we could be close to Mountain Creek for a Spartan Race. It truly exceeded our expectations in all aspects. This is a family friendly, camper-friendly place. Lots of seasonals- everyone waves, everyone stops to chat. This is what a campground should feel like. The sound of laughter and play sitting around the huge, clean pool was refreshing. Our site was Oak 10. It was level, good placement of electric water & sewer connects. Camp store has all the basics you might need. There is a brook that flows adjacent to the property. It's peaceful & magical. Pet friendly, although we didn't have our pup with us. We will be back again. I almost feel like I'm revealing a hidden gem with this post. 💎

    Mahlon Dickerson Reservation

    Nice, small, spacious campground

We stayed at site 15 for 5 days. The sites are nicely wooded, very well spaced, fairly level with 50A service and water hookup. Although the water spigots were shared between sites, they provide hose caddies that should reach most RV hookups. No sewer hookup, but there is a convenient dump station. There are no fire rings in the RV section, only raised grills. We had the place pretty much to ourselves during the week, but the weekend did get busy. AT&T had ok data connection with 1-2 bars most of the time. There is no satellite coverage due to the heavy tree canopy. OTA TV was very inconsistent using an external omni antenna. There is no WiFi. There is a very nice network of trails in the reservation, most if not all were leashed dog friendly. There is a very nice restaurant, Stone Water, less than 10 miles away and is right on lake Hopatcong.

    Panther Lake Camping Resort

    Stayed all summer

We stayed at Panther Lake as full timers all season. Great during the week but very busy on weekends. Could be noisy with children not very well supervised.
Friendly, helpful staff. Cable TV poor when it rains. Cell service spotty all carriers. No internet at sites. Lake beautiful and pool nice.

    Turkey Swamp Park

    Quiet Woodland Campground

Turkey Swamp Park is a great find! Heavily wooded and supremely quiet, it’s located not far from anywhere you’d want to be. 30 minutes to the shore. Every site is a pull-through, large and spacious with great woodland views. 30amp and water. Dump station.

The park has miles of shady forested trails for hiking and dog walking. there’s a large lake here too, for water based recreational activities.

The bathrooms, showers, and laundry are co-located in a centrally situated structure. Everything inside is clean and well-maintained.

We’ve got good cell signal with Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint. (We use all three.) Good OTA television signal also.

We spent three days here in July 2021.

Delaware Water Gap / Pocono Mountain KOA

    Family friendly, super kind staff

We have stayed at a few KOAs and we really liked this one. The staff were kind and so helpful. This is right by Shawnee, several water sports places and near some great hikes. Campground has some nice shaded 30amp back in spots with full hookups. We stayed in 47 which backs up to a wooded area & had good cover. Although the map shows site 47 as electric & water only it's actually full hookups (they just haven't updated the map yet). Some of the pull through sites in the center are not shaded at all, as a heads up. Friends stayed in a deluxe cabin, which was beautiful & looked brand new inside. The camp store has everything you might need. Wi-Fi is free and signal OK. The pool is well maintained and there's a ton of space for outdoor activities like volleyball, mini golf & more. We did a buddy site and stayed next to friends as well for a small extra fee per site. We would stay here again!

    Mountain Top RV Park

    Great Stopover Campground

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Mountain Top and were were impressed by the exceptional experience and service provided by the owners. The newly upgraded camp infrastructure elevated the stay, providing amenities for comfort and entertainment. The family-friendly atmosphere was evident through the thoughtfully designed property, including an updated pool, playground, game room, and a brand-new pickleball court that added a unique touch to the stay. The investment in new 50amp wiring, upgraded sewer systems, and newer water lines  provided convenient camping experience. Overall, this campground exceeded expectations, offering a blend of modern convenience and family-oriented fun that made our stay memorable.

The video posted shows the full hook-up area. The water and electric sites and tent sites were tucked away in a more wooded environment.

    Panther Lake Camping Resort

    Great place for groups

Fun camping place to books groups. Very kid and pet friendly, lake to fish and kayak on, lots of activities, great pool and awesome hot tub. Only down side is that even though they say they have wifi, you can't hook up to it unless you are at the pavilion. And good luck getting cell service! its like a black hole of signals there. Otherwise, we really love this place!

    Turkey Swamp Park

    large wooded sites

This campground has all pull-through sites. Nicely wooded with water and electric. Be sure to bring extra hose because the water spigot is a distance from the electric. sites are level and well maintained. They also allowed us to put the car tent on the same site as a friend's camper. There's a nice lake to kayak or paddle boat on. each site has a fire pit, picnic table and garbage can
