When you’re camping in New Hampshire you don’t have to choose between going on a hardcore hike or relaxing in your hammock on a quiet lakeshore. Lake Winnipesaukee is by far the largest and best-known body of freshwater in the Granite State, but New Hampshire is dotted with bodies of water of all sizes, from the swimming holes and rushing rivers of the mountains, to the ponds and lakes lined with classic cottages in the aptly named Lakes Region. 


Fortunately for all of us, mountains are just as plentiful. While Mount Washington, in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest, has the most name recognition in the state (and claims to have the worst weather in the world), it’s not even the only notable peak to bag in the Presidential Range. Adams, Jefferson, Monroe, Madison, Pierce, Eisenhower, and Jackson mountains can all be ticked off your list of New Hampshire’s 48 4,000-footers. And the White Mountains aren’t the only game in town either. Go camping at Monadnock State Park and do any number of hikes in the area, including the ever-popular Mount Monadnock, of course. Mount Monadnock’s isolated peak provides fantastic views and is one of the most frequently hiked mountains in the world.  


Spend a quiet backcountry camping in New Hampshire night under a tarp, or bring beers and s’mores around the campfire at a popular state park campground like Pawtuckaway, Bear Brook, or White Lake. This picturesque tranquil campsite sits on the banks of a forest stream in the NH Lakes Region. Drift off to sleep to the sounds of the flowing stream and beautiful Barred Owl calls. 

Hike on the forest trails alongside Crooked Run Stream that the site overlooks.  Within a 2 minute drive you'll find White Buffalo Trading Post Pizza, Barnstead Country Store, and The Backdoor Grill.  Then 10 minutes from the site is another pizza spot called Jacks Pizza and the Main Street Grill and Bar. About 15 minutes away is Country Cookn At The Circle Restaurant in the town of Epsom and Alton Village Pizza just off the Circle in Alton. There are endless hiking trails within just a 20 minute drive like Rocky Ridge Town Forest, Winnie The Pooh Trail, Parker Mtn, Mount Major, and Sargent Town Forest Nature Trail. There is a public boat launch 3 minutes away on Big River that opens to Suncook River 3 for canoeing and kayaking.  A small public beach area on Suncook Lake is located on Narrows Road at the bridge 10 minute drive from campsite. Farmers Market Saturdays 9-1 June through September on Maple Street 4 minutes away. 

The Space:
Secluded NH Campsite in a quiet woodland area overlooking a winding stream.  Follow the path/road through the field, wooded area, and right up to the site during late Spring, Summer, and Fall. Short hike during early Spring mud season and Winter.

You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Fish from our row boat, canoe or two kayaks; hike, swim and enjoy the peaceful surroundings with the neighboring wildlife; relax in a hammock overlooking the water and spend your time with the resident beaver family, great blue heron and kingfisher. Our remote campsite is one mile into the woods from the farm accessed by a logging road. Bagley Pond is the perfect place to spend a quiet and restful vacation. 
Please be respectful and cautious of the wildlife residents. You may see bears, moose, bobcats, coyotes, foxes etc. all of which can be dangerous. Also, please respect the land and neighboring land owners by not littering and not cutting down trees or taking fallen branches for camp fires. Fishing is allowed on the pond but is catch and release only.
You are welcome to visit the hops and native perennial farm to learn about our farm or just relax on the farm. As a departing gift you may choose a native plant to take home, in season only. We are looking forward to sharing our little piece of paradise with you!

To limit the potential impact of community spread during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are encouraging our campers and hosts to adopt self-check in procedures whenever possible. To make self check-in easy, Tentrr provides a map to your site and driving directions in an email sent out a few days before your reservation. Please refer to this guide to get to your campsite. As a reminder, it is good practice to give your host a head's up on your estimated arrival time a few days beforehand. Do bring your swimsuit if you like to swim or walk along the river as your campsite is just 75 feet from water. Shallow during the mid summer months but 5 feet deep in the spring and fall. Don't forget to bring a fishing pole or a tube for the River. This site is dog friendly! Please be prepared to camp and bring along a few blankets for the bunkbeds

We have a unique property that is perfect for unwinding, stargazing and exploring. The night sky is unspoiled by lights and absolutely stunning! 
A mile from camp the Smith river meanders alongside the northern rail trail, which you can follow all the way to Canada! The local swimming hole is also a short ride, offering a small beach and kayaking opportunities. Ragged Mtn resort and Cardigan Mtn state park are each only 11 miles. Cardigan is a lovely day hike with a rocky peak above the treeline. 
For our more adventurous campers, feel free to bring mountain bikes, dirt bikes, and atvs. We have some amazing topography and loop trails, with changing views and occasional mud. Dogs absolutely love it here! This place is so special to us, we are looking forward to sharing it with you!

Camp just a quick trek off Historical Beautiful Main Street New London, NH, walk within minutes to the infamous Flying Goose Brewpub & Grille, camp less than a mile away from Colby Sawyer College. Main Street has much more to offer and is a 20 minute walk, or a 3 minute drive. Perfectly situated near hiking, skiing, swimming, boating, fishing, snowmobiling spots. Lake Sunapee, Mount Sunapee, Mount Kearsarge and much more is only a few minutes drive away. The site is 90 second walk from the parking area, just a few hundred feet.

Tentrr Signature Site - Secluded Retreat - Main Street Meadows

  Platform and Back-country Sites are available. Sunset Ridge is hammock preferred and small tent friendly, however Only the signature site has a provided tent and stove ( this listing is for weekday rentals only) … see our separate listing for the signature Lost Boys Hideout Rock'n Summer for weekend rentals of the campsite {which does have pictures here on this page).   Different sites have different parking areas and different levels of access ease. Sunset Ridge is the most difficult, think rural and rugged. While the Hideout, our main signature site, is the easiest and has the most amenities. Sleepy Hollow is the middle ground to walk in, with provided summer tents & some comforts, but is closest to the local public road.   This is your perfect escape to the woods with a private seasonal pond and plenty of marked private hiking trails. A short drive down to the beach and a full-service boat ramp for Horace Lake, so bring your boat, water skis and ice fishing gear! You can rent our canoes for Horace Lake or Turkey Pond for great fishing. Don't forget your mountain bike for trails or area specialty adventure centers. Off site ATV trails, snowmobile trails, and other seasonal adventure locations are within easy reach. Be at peace and stay by the campfire soaking in calm with nature surrounding you.   I'll have some fresh drinking water ready for you. We are excited to meet you! One night stays will be considered on a case-by-case basis- don't hesitate to ask! If we don't have a prior multi-day reservation one week ahead of time, we will do our best to accommodate you! Lots of extras available for rent for those folks who are not stocked up on camping gear. Bedding, tents, cooking gear, gas stove top, etc etc!

Lost Boys Hideout 

Peaceful setting but close to many attractions, this picturesque camp site next to mountain range on a working farm!  This Signature Campsite is at the edge of animal paddocks on one side and forest on the other.  Whether you hang out with the animals at the farm, hike the trails, visit the lakes, grab a bite at the many restaurants, visit downtown Wolfeboro shop boutiques, or head to the area's countless attractions, you will be sure to have a great time!  Right on property you can relax with the animals, visit the pond, visit the gardens and stargaze at night. The Space:
Peaceful Signature Campsite near Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, NH.

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.

If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). If you have any questions regarding modifications to your booking, please reach out to Tentrr Customer Support.

-Please do not enter the animal enclosures without staff and do not feed them anything other than handheld grass :)
-Due to COVID-19 guests must complete a questionnaire according to state guidelines and provide picture of licenses.  
Unfortunately we do not offer horseback riding or any other lessons at this time.
-According to state laws you cannot bring in outside firewood, we have kiln-dried firewood available here.
-Propane 20lb are available here.
