Absolutely lovely !

Large sites, clean and quiet. Not a lot of activities but lots of friendly people. Can’t wait to go back!

Well maintained campground

Not all sites are overly spacious, some are in close proximity and there are many seasonal campers but the grounds are very well maintained and the bathrooms and showers are exceptionally clean (and free hot showers with good water pressure!). There is also a clean laundry room as well as a nicely kept playground and pool. Overall, a nice place but on the expensive side.

Friendly

Our site had stone, like some of the others, some small sites but nicely wooded for shade and a little bit of privacy. I think there is only one bath house/laundry area, didn't go in because we didn't need to. Pool looked nice, although it's right along the road. The camp store has all the right stuff in case you've forgot something. Got a nice little bag of chocolate and an Ames Brook sticker upon checking in. Dog friendly, clean, well kept, campground.

Quick 1 Night Camping

One night camping at Ames Brook on their opening weekend. Staff were very friendly, campground is clean, nice selection of wooded to open camp sites. Prices are very reasonable. Easy to get to off Rt. 93, in Ashland, quick ride to many area attractions like hiking, lakes, etc.

Site 27 is very large, near a cute babbling brook. Rained the majority of the evening, so the brook grew quite a bit but didn't intrude on the site. Great little 1 night trip to kick off our season.
