Bridge Bay Campground — Yellowstone National Park

Great views of Lake, Long drive to a lot of things

We stayed in Bridge Bay in the middle of June at site #282. This site butts up to an open field which for some could be a draw back because there's little privacy but for us we got views of the Lake which were wonderful; we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunrise over the Lake.

The Facilities are nice with potable water and sinks to clean dishes. There's also a few trails to hike and explore. We had an Elk walk right into the field towards sunset and graze. I'm only rating 4 stars because It's a little far from things like Old Faithful and Canyon Village, but we would stay here again.

Yellowstone is always worth the visit if presented with the opportunity and this is a really nice campground.

        Great place!

For those who love both camping in scenic spots like Wyoming’s Big Game Campground and intense online gaming sessions, I’ve found a way to keep up your Valorant rank even when you’re off-grid. Exploring wilderness doesn’t have to mean missing out on climbing those competitive ranks! Avoid like the plague

In short the campground had a bear owners knew about, but didn’t inform the people booking. 3 year old child gets attacked & all campers immediately evacuated. Campground doesn’t reimburse the patrons as promised. Greedy low life’s.

        Amazing Campground

We were only able to book 1 night online. However when we checked in we asked if they had an extra night & we got lucky to get one as the person in front of us canceled his reservation! So don’t give up if u can only get one night!

Loved this campsite. We were in loop J and our side was semi-private. Fires were allowed. Each campsite has a large bear box. Bathrooms were good and each location had a dishwashing station with drinking water near it. Generators not allowed from 8:00 PM-8:00Am A handful of shops around and a gas station near by. Showers were awesome & clean & they have TONS of washers & Dryers for Laundry!! By far one of the best NP campgrounds!

        Spire Peak Campground

        Last resort only

This is pretty much a tourist trap. We got out of work late and didn’t find a spot at loch leaven and had to be on the river early, so we just gave it a try. $30, no fires allowed, essentially just a grass field. There were a couple picnic tables scattered about. Would be better off at the free old saloon camping field.

        Great Experience

We had site 1. The sites are close and not too big. Really the site is small. There is one bear locker, fire ring, and picnic table per site. The pit toilets were super clean and had a motion light inside them for night time. I loved hearing the rushing water all night long. The campground is very quiet. We walked the river a bit in the morning before leaving. We had no mosquitoes but when we arrived it was 46 degrees and when we left it was raining. Would stay here again. AT&T had one bar and our Verizon had no service.

THIS IS HOW YOU DO YELLOWSTONE... it's perfect

The best part of the park to see wildlife is without a doubt the north end. We saw everything from elk to bears and with such close proximity to mammoth there is so much to do.

Gardiner is so close if you need a dump station or a laundry solution.

        5 sites

5 sites. This is a first come first serve camping area. There is no concrete pads as mentioned in another review. Fire pits and picnic tables at 4 sites. They say it’s a fishing access but unless you have waders there is little access to rock creek on the bank due to thick brush. It is a decent place to stay overnight. No hookups.

        Cooney State Park Campground

Clean campground, but not where I’d stay

Campsite has plenty of spots and decent amenities. Some of the spots have lake access where we saw other campers with their boats tied up to shore. The spots were way too close together for my liking. There were almost no trees, which meant no privacy from other campers. The campsite was EXTREMELY overpriced. We paid $36 for one night of tent camping ($8 vehicle fee and $26 tenters fee). This might be a reasonable price for RVs hooked up to electricity and water, but this was a ripoff for tenters that used only the pit toilet amenity. The lake was pretty, but I will absolutely continue on and camp in the Beartooth Mtns next time around.

Bridge Bay Campground — Yellowstone National Park

Clean, kind of quiet, but smokey

Booked three nights, stayed two of them in our van. Sites are sort of level, some are on a hill so will need some leveling.

Pull through sites are turnout style, so it can get a little cramped, and navigating a larger vehicle could be difficult if your neighbors arent courteous and park fully out of the road.

Generator use is allowed between 8AM - 8PM, did our neighbors listen to this rule? NOPE 5AM loudest generator on the planet was started up right across the road from us. Staff did nothing, even though it ran until 9am.

Other than this the campground was reasonably quiet.

We opted not to stay the last night we had booked here because of how much smoke there was from people and their campfires. You can visibly see it roll of the hill and onto the lake come dusk and if you open your door its almost instant campfire smell/smoke in the RV (Van). Stayed at Fishing Bridge the rest of the trip because no campfires!

        Quiet and peaceful!

There’s only about 7 sites with the ability to stay for 14 days in a 28 day cycle. It’s a first come first serve basis. One vault toilet, rules board and a check in box.

I absolutely enjoyed my 4 day stay. It was still pretty early in the season so it wasn’t too crowded. Beautiful views with no heavy traffic.

Each camping site has a picnic table and a fire pit. Each site has wooden outlines of each spot; making it easy to park in your spot and setup camp.

ONLY WARNING! IT CAN GET VERY VERY WINDY UP HERE! I HAVE A PICKUP BOX CAMP BUT I SEEN A TENT TURN INSIDE OUT AND DISAPPEAR.
