Sitting directly on the bank of the Yellowstone River outside Livingston, Yellowstone Edge RV Park draws a steady stream of travelers using it as a base for the region or a stop en route to Yellowstone National Park, roughly 90 minutes to the south. The park runs from May 1 through October 10 and fills quickly during summer months. Reservations are strongly recommended, and multiple reviewers report arriving to find the park at or near capacity.
River proximity is the defining feature here. The back-in sites along the south side of the office sit closest to the water, with some positioned roughly 15 feet from the river's edge, giving direct sightlines toward the Yellowstone and the mountain range beyond. Pull-through sites are also available. Sites on the river side tend to be the most sought after, and those that book late may end up with a drive-through slot positioned closer to the shower facilities and farther from the water. The park sits just off the highway, and some road noise carries, though several campers note it is less disruptive than expected.
Amenities are a consistent strength. Full hookups with electric, water, and sewer are available, along with a dump station. The bathhouse draws frequent praise for cleanliness, as does the laundry. The property also includes a game room, a gift shop, and a small store. "Full hookups, nice clean bathrooms, game room and little store that has everything," notes Barb N. WiFi is available but has drawn complaints about bandwidth. T-Mobile cell service has been reported as a more reliable alternative by at least one reviewer.
Tents are not permitted. The park is pet-friendly and has a communal fire ring, though individual fire pits are not standard at every site. Fishing access along the Yellowstone is a draw for anglers. The Paradise Fishing Access Site sits a short distance east for campers looking for additional water access along the river corridor. Those wanting a more dispersed experience might consider the Old Yellowstone Trail North Dispersed area on Montana State Trust Lands nearby.
