A stunning view

We arrived late and was a little confusing about spots. We found a prime spot right on the river that was empty so parked started setting up and noticed that there was a slip on the pole stating reserved so we moved and noticed in the morning no one was there. That was disappointing yet nonetheless we had a nice spot. Was quiet and stunning view. Toilets were convenient. Close to Livingston. Very bumpy road coming in.

Calm, clean and reverent

Grandson and I stayed there a night before fly fishing the Yellowstone River. Very clean and nice. Only wish they had a bear proof trash bin on site. Felt safe unlike another nearby site that we left earlier after feeling uncomfortable with a group of campers

Nice River access but no water

This is a campground used by people wanting to fish the river and have a home base. Not much shade and only pit toilets but easy in and out with all pull through sights. Great TV and Cell coverage and one hour from Yellowstone National Park north entrance at the Roosevelt Arch.

It was dreamy

This spot was totally beautiful. Small campground after a heavily graded gravel road outside of a sweet little town. Cheap, vault toilet. Lots of aquatic life tons of caddis fly and stonefly. Fishing was fun but no bites. The views were unforgettable and the stars were never ending. We did loose our white famepoint Siamese cat here in June. We stayed in the middle site just across the little road from the river. All the sites were pretty nice.

Mostly RV

Small but nice campsite. All the sites in the area were full when we arrived to Livingston (Sunday of labor day weekend). When we got to the site it seemed like it was full - took a closer look and no one took the tags off of the site post before leaving. We were the only tent in the site - quiet grounds. Bathrooms were actually surprisingly clean. Great location - $18 - steps away from the Yellowstone River - awesome view. Would totally recommend.

Prairie Dogs & River Access

Rolled in on a Friday evening and snagged the last spot. There are a few coveted spots on the Yellowstone River that are prime. $18 per site, 2 pit toilets, no water, pack out trash. There is a spot to write in a site, so even if you showed up and couldn’t get a picnic table/fire ring I think you’d be okay to post up at an unmarked spot for the night. Beautiful views & shared our site with some curious but shy prairie dogs.

Awesome Little Campground

This campground is located among the Yellowstone River. The current is swift and boaters come down the river each day. We stopped at this park because of a heat wave rolling over Montana. The valley between the mountains did the trick and kept our RV which is our home cooler. Opening our doors to the Yellowstone River each morning was magnificent.

There is a boat ramp and fishing. The campground fills up on the weekends. There were many with RVs and several tents.

Cellular signal is not great here for T-Mobile or AT&T. You’re in between mountains and a much less populated area. It didn’t bother us.

Spring Stay

Stayed during a warm March weekend. Brought the raft since we were so close to the put in. Stayed at site 13 (I think) and loved the sound of the river passing. There is a lot of traffic since it is a fishing access but it's not too bad with noise.
