Guidethe stars were beautiful, the “sites” were spacious and well spread out, and there is lots of shade. you could definitely get a big rig in and out of here on the looped gravel roads.
GuideWell maintained Campground. Lots of trees on outer loop 3. Very nice family site. Breeze off the lake kept the 90 degree days bearable. Restrooms are old but well maintained. Camp store is mostly an ice cream shop, no camping related items to speak of. Camp hosts are friendly. Not much of the late night noise enforcement. Dog friendly

GuideHarry Truman State Park is a stunning spot, more so if you are a water lover. The campsites are large, with lots of trees to add privacy. Two boat launch areas make it very convenient for people who will spend time on the water. They do have three hiking trails (one was closed for storm repairs).
My site was just off of the main road, but I didn’t hear much traffic throughout the night. It seems to be a very quiet area
ScoutIm From ohio that's were i stop to go out west the first time there google maps were wrong ! So I drove around the block and found it. There is NO locked gate nice little spot cows across the street after 12hrs riding good enough for me
ScoutThird time we have stopped here, and the third time was just as good as the first. David is doing a great job taking care of all us Happy Campers. It's not the biggest park but has excellent facilities that make up for its size.

We were tired from a long drive with a bunch of rain near the end, and we ended up just sleeping in the parking lot. it was actually comfortable and level enough, which is why I'm not giving this one star.
