Several RV parks dot the region surrounding Lohman, Missouri, offering convenient access to Lake of the Ozarks and Columbia attractions. Cottonwoods RV Park & Campground in Columbia features 83 full hookup sites with 50 amp service and remains open year-round, catering specifically to big rigs with long, level gravel pads. Majestic Oaks RV Park in Eldon provides 80 sites with both 30 and 50 amp electrical options, though sites are notably close together. One traveler noted, "The gravel pad was very long and we had plenty of room for our 40' rig and F450." Osage Beach RV Park operates seasonally from March through November with full hookup sites that accommodate larger motorhomes. Cedar Creek Resort & RV Park in Columbia offers another year-round option with full hookups and 50 amp service for RVers needing extended stays.

Advance reservations are strongly recommended for all RV parks in the region, particularly during summer months and fall foliage season when Lake of the Ozarks visitation peaks. Most parks provide sanitary dump stations, though Cedar Creek Resort lacks this amenity. Cell service varies throughout the area, with Verizon and AT&T generally providing adequate coverage near Columbia and more spotty service closer to the lake. Pet policies differ between facilities - most welcome pets with standard leash requirements, though Cedar Creek Resort prohibits pets entirely. Pull-through sites are common at Cottonwoods and Majestic Oaks, making them particularly suitable for travelers with larger rigs who prefer not to disconnect tow vehicles. RV campers should note that while most parks offer WiFi, the quality can be inconsistent, with one reviewer describing campground WiFi as "sketchy but if you are just looking for a place to stay and explore the Ozarks it works."

      Graham Cave State Park Campground

      Graham Cave

Graham Cave State Park could be a lovely campground but is in dire need of updating everything. The campsites are very uneven and the bathhouses are partially working. The campground host, however, was very friendly and diligent. The trails were well kept but unfortunately it was so dry the river was very low.

Majestic Oaks RV Park & Campground

Staff is great and the location is nice for lake activities although its not on the lake with lake views. Lots of fun campground activities throughout the spring, summer and fall with bands and pot lucks.

      Great overnight

Hardly anyone here. On a Tuesday in October. Took a primitive site. Reasonable. Fairly quiet. Some ambient noise from i70

      Binder Park Campground

Clean, Quiet Campsite on the edge of capital city.

I have stayed at Binder Campsite several times and I will continue to stay there when I visit my hometown. The location is about 3 miles from the hustle and bustle of Jefferson City. Sites have always been clean and well maintained, along with the bathroom/showers. Camp hosts are nice and they keep to themselves. Only critique I have is that the reservation process of having to call and leave a VM is a antiquated, but I understand the idea of less tech and more simplicity.  I have never had an issue with making a reservation. Overall, a great place to stay.

      Graham Cave State Park Campground

Wonderful hideaway with GREAT Verizon 5G coverage in campground

I will simply confirm all the good things said about this campground.  We spent 3 nights in electric site 48 and had great Verizon 5G coverage.  My speed test results > 300 Mbps download and  22Mbps upload.

So if you want to stream TV you can, if you have to work you can.  If you want to just stay off the grid you can.

Central location for exploring: Osage Beach RV Park provides convenient access to nearby attractions. A camper noted, "This was a very nice, clean campground in the city of Osage Beach... centrally located to a lot of sight-seeing adventures."

Clean, well-maintained facilities: Cottonwoods RV Park & Campground receives praise for its upkeep. One visitor mentioned, "At the office, they have a nice store and gift shop with one of the best selections of camping shirts etc. that we have seen."

Peaceful atmosphere despite busy seasons: Even during peak times, many campgrounds maintain a serene environment. A camper at Osage Beach RV Park stated, "We were here over Memorial Day weekend and it was still so nice and peaceful. The place was completely full."

    What you should know

Road conditions: Several campgrounds have gravel access roads that can be challenging. A reviewer at Cross Creek RV Park warned, "Access to camping ground was little difficult. It was gravel road but it was very steep hill (very common in this area)."

Reservation requirements: Most parks have minimum stay requirements during peak seasons. Riveria Villas has specific booking policies as noted by a camper: "The campground itself can only be booked through the campsite and there is a 3 night minimum stay."

Internet connectivity varies: While WiFi is available, quality differs between locations. At Osage Beach RV Park, a reviewer observed it had "excellent WiFi that had boosters all throughout the campground" making it suitable for remote work.

Site spacing concerns: Many campgrounds have closely positioned sites. One camper at Majestic Oaks RV Park & Campground noted they were "really paced in here but they had so many amenities it was crazy. Cable, WiFi, pool, etc."

    Tips for camping with families

Playground access: Doolittle Acres RV Park offers family-friendly amenities. A visitor mentioned, "Cute playground, small fenced dog park type area, showers, laundry, fire pits and picnic tables."

Cabin options for mixed groups: Cedar Creek Resort provides cabin accommodations for those not wanting to tent camp. According to a reviewer, "The cabins are spectacular and right on the water! We just took 40+ family members and everyone fell in love with this campground."

Safety considerations: Some campgrounds have minimal lighting and busy internal roads. A reviewer cautioned about "kids being allowed on golf carts all day and late into the night flying all over both directions. Kids on bikes all night with no lights on bikes or grounds."

On-site activities for all ages: Majestic Oaks provides various amenities. One camper shared, "The park is very clean, the employees are friendly and helpful. Good wifi and cable tv. The in-ground pool is clean. There is a lot to do at the park, and in the area."

    Tips from RVers

Pull-through accessibility: Osage Beach RV Park offers easy-access sites for larger rigs. One RVer mentioned, "Nice, full hookup gravel sites close to everything on the east side of Lake of the Ozarks."

Length considerations: Cottonwoods RV Park accommodates larger vehicles with spacious sites. A visitor reported, "The gravel pad was very long and we had plenty of room for our 40' rig and F450. The utilities were in the middle of the pad and water pressure was decent at about 40 psi."

Satellite placement challenges: Tree coverage can affect satellite reception. At Cottonwoods, a camper noted, "There are mature trees so satellite placement could be challenging. We were able to place our Starlink in the yard area for a good shot to the north sky."

Cell service reliability: For RVers working remotely, connectivity is crucial. A camper at Cedar Creek Resort found, "Our truck and camper was covered with gravel dust. So if you had anything exposed, it'll get a bit dusty. But again overall a nice stopover and the employees were great to work with."
