Best Glamping near Ravenna, MI

My 1st experience with Tentrr convinced me that this is the way to have my own private oasis! Upon arrival at Pine Meadows, we followed the short red bark path through the trees to our cabin tent, which was next to a lovely meadow and near a small pond. Heidi, the property owner briefly stopped by to welcome us and assure us that she was available by text for any needs we might have- yet, Heidi said the property was ours for the duration, and we wouldn’t see her unless necessary. Wow! This was such a cool experience! We felt like we had our own personal pond, meadow, and cabin tent! The cabin tent comfortably sleeps three in regular mattresses. I believe there is a cot available. Nearby is a large tent that will sleep four more people. A picnic table and Adirondack chairs are next to the firepit. Heidi has many yard games available, such as cornhole and badminton, making this a great location for families. There is a spot among the pine trees with a large fairy display and little hide-aways for kids. Honesty, I can’t wait to bring my grandchildren to this! The nearby town, Interlochen, is minutes away and has a grocery store, a few restaurants, and a nationally famous music camp. Within driving distance is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, which National Geographic rated as one of the best 21 beaches in the world. My hubby and I camp a lot, and in addition to the positives mentioned above, we truly LOVED NOT HAVING AN OVERLOADED CAR! We didn’t need to pack a tent, bedding(we paid the extra$10 for their bedding- totally worth it!); nor did we need a tent and chairs! We actually had room in the car this trip! Yes, Tentrr costs more than a regular campsite; however, you get the privacy and convenience of Glamping! Totally, worth it!

This is a cool campground to come hang out at one of the most beautiful beaches in Michigan, and provides the unique experience of actually camping ON the beach, which is something you don’t get to do with 95% of the campgrounds on Michigan’s coast. Right across the Grand River a really nice nature preserve to escape for a hike, but there isn’t much in the way of hiking at this particular state park. The showers and facilities though are of the cleanest and well kept in all of Michigan’s state parks.

I have camped here many times over my lifetime. It is a great family campground, close to Lake Michigan and within driving distance to North Muskegon and Whitehall. Lovely camping in the pines within walking distance to Lake Michigan.

Very typical of Michigan state parks. Tight sites with a nice fire ring. Great location with a walking path to Lake Michigan. Close to downtown Holland. Nice bathrooms and clean showers.

It's clean. It's well laid out. It's well staffed. It's near Holland, MI and Lake Michigan beaches. It has electricity only - no water or sewer in campsites. It's beautiful and piney and full of poison ivy and mosquitoes because it's in Michigan. Suck it up and enjoy the view.

There are two campgrounds in the park - The Channel Campground & the Lake Michigan campground. We stayed at the Channel Campground two years ago. It's right on the channel from Muskegon Lake to Lake Michigan, so you have walking access to both lakes. The campsites were VERY close together. It was actually the first thing we noticed as soon as we pulled through the gate. Campsites have a paved parking pad, fire ring, electrical hookup, and picnic table. Restroom & shower facilities were relatively clean & well maintained. You'll probably have to wait for the showers, but that's pretty typical.

Overall, the campground was just average. If you don't like being close to your neighbors, I'd recommend staying at the Lake Michigan campground in the same park. Larger sites & tons of shade.

We found a gorgeous campsite at this campground with Lake Michigan just over the sand dunes. 

The campground was well maintained. Some of the campsites were sandy and unlevel.

1.) The Muskegon South Pierhead Lighthouse is located on the channel in the harbor of Muskegon, Michigan. 

2.) USS Silversides Submarine Museum with World War 2 submarines, gigantic torpedoes and more.

This is one of the most beautiful State Parks in Michigan-if you haven't been here, please put it on your list!

Large campsites. Very quite. Family friendly. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan nice sandy beach area. Bring an extension cord. The electric boxes serve multiple sits sites.

Every year we go here with our whole family! We love the group camping area. Multiple bathrooms. Right on Lake Michigan. Great place to spend time with the family.

The Muskegon state park shares a beautiful scenery that is over all amazing tovwake up to in the morning, or even just visit while passing through Muskegon down the coast of Michigan!

Close to Downtown Grand Haven and boardwalk, on sandy beach of Lake Michigan. Ideal for RV camping. $21-37/night. Cottage available too. Book in advance! End of July-early Aug this small town is packed due to Coast Guard Festival.

This was a great overall experience. We were right on the canal side and only 300ft away from Lake Michigan. Grand Haven State Parks has upgraded facilities so bathrooms and showering is actually pleasant. Loce this place and will be going back annually.

Very generous camp sites, welcoming staff, wooded sites with tall maple tree canopies...down a decked stair case onto the white Sandy beaches of lake Michigan..the adjacent beach is expensive and has the feel of your own private beach.

Lots of trees, so it’s cooler to camp. Just steps from Lake Michigan. Literally walk down some steps, and you’re at the beach. Clean bathhouse too, with plenty of hot water. And best of all, walking distance to an excellent ice cream stand.

This is a campground located right on the sandy beach of Lake Michigan. Its perfect for those who want to be right up close to the water. There is paved lots where your rv sits. No trees for shade so be sure to be prepared with ac!

We have camped here several times and it is especially nice if you love Lake Michigan since you only have to walk to the end of the campground and the lake is on the other side of the dunes. Very family friendly and large sites.
