Rude treatment of a disabled vet

We stayed there 3 years ago and I wish I had seen this site sooner. The morning of July 4th we were woke up by people yelling at 7:15 am. Them at 8:15 someone in a riding lawn mower came within 2 ft of out pop up and woke us up again. Then a sprinkler was started and it was getting our canvas wet, so I turned it down a little. The guy on the mower yelled at me to keep my hands off of the sprinkler! My family were staying one more night so I left them our easy up. Later that evening we came back to watch the fireworks. Afterwards my husband, who is a disabled vet, could not out to our car due to neuropathy in both legs. I decided to go in to pick him up. I waited until v the gate opened and drove in. The speed limit is 10 miles per hour, which I did follow. Then a man come flying up the road and started yelling at my family! I tried to explain that my husband was having a hard time walking out to the parking lot. He cursed at us and then said we would not be allowed back to this campground. This had been the 4 th year we had stayed there over the July 4th holiday. Sad that he treated not only a disabled vet but also a 90 year old woman. Would recommend.

Nice breezy place for a few nights on the water

Nice place, good breeze on Lake Muskegon Lake. The lake is a little smelly and people have left some trash on the beach, but the camp is clean. The spaces need to be wider-they’ve packed too many spaces in and with the trees, backing a travel trailer in is not easy. Clean, good price, one washer, one dryer, and clean showers. 7 out of 10

Beautiful Sunsets

We stayed here when we bought our new camper from a place in Muskegon Mi. The campground is right with a boat launch. Some sites are close but we had an end and it was nice. Great sunset views from Lake Muskegon. Friendly people! We sat by the lake with our chairs and wine and enjoyed the evenings. Fantastic beach and beach bar 17 minutes away at The Deck!! We would stay there again! Not a lot of amenities those with kids other than a small playground and swimming in lake. See the swans in the pics!!

For Fishers and Shoppers!

Ok. This is a place that I need to be “prepared mentally to visit.”

Located in downtown On Muskegon Lake, this campground is not much; HOWEVER, it offers all the ability to experience much!!!

OK: campground: sites are close, few trees. Some on water. Playground. Dock fishing for kids.

What makes this cool?

My hubby went fishing with a buddy... and I went shopping with my friend, had lunch and drinks in downtown Muskegon, which is about a half mile away (by the bike path). We also “enticed” our men to go back after fishing for dinner and drinks!

COVID-19 comment: city of Muskegon has closed off Western Avenue to allow businesses to expand into outdoor seating! LOVE this! Food trucks are also in the area... but check out the local eats first! They are Awesome!!!
