    USI RV Park

    Clean but tightly packed

    The small park is located in a commercial area but has fairly close access to downtown Wichita. It does have a small dog park and playground set an is good enough for a overnight visit.

    Great place to stay over in Wichita

    Close to everywhere, flat gravel sites, friendly owners and employees, full hookups, nice dog park and kid's playground. We travel through Wichita frequently and are happy to have found a place to stay overnight or longer when needed.

    Friendly

    Basically an average park all the amenities full hookups. Nice staff dog park . Campers close together. A nice rest stop for traveling through.

    Beaumont Hotel & RV Park

    Hotel & Campground with plenty of room to pitch a tent. Even an air strip!

    Located in the Heart of the Flint Hills in Kansas. Right off highway 400 about 26 miles east of Augusta, Kansas. Fly in with your own plane, drive your car/RV  or ride your bicycle.  Beaumont with their own airport, hotel, campground, and cafe with a lot of Frisco Railroad History.

    I camped in a tent in September 2020.  And again in June 2021 and several times since. The last time I bicycled light and stayed in the hotel. The cafe is open weekends-check their website for hours. (closed in winter). The hotel is open year round. One of the motel rooms behind the cafe is available for showers and restrooms for campers.  I enjoyed supper and breakfast at the cafe.--friendly people and great food.  Quiet evening and fantastic stargazing.

    Bluestem Lake

    Blast!

    This campground was super cool because it was a little "out dated" but it made it cozy! So many beautiful trees and walking paths that it made the stay great. We would get up in the morning and do a short hike that was nearby, and then finish it off with one of the walking paths around the campground, then had breakfast. It was a great way to start the day. They offer RV sites as well as small cabins you can rent. My family and I took our RV, and had a blast. The sites were big enough for the RV and had a picnic table and fire ring within the site. We didn't feel like we were right on top of our neighbors either which was nice. There is a lake within walking distance, so we would head down there during the day. Dogs are allowed, but need to be on leashes. We brought our dog and he had a blast in the lake. They have a volleyball court set up as well as horse shoes which was fun! You can also rent stand up paddle boards from the front desk to take down to the lake. They also have a club house that has a pool table, although we didn't partake in this. There is an area where you can do laundry too, which we thought was pretty cool. This is definitely considered "glamping" to us :) There is also a boat launch if you need that too. We caught some really awesome weather while we stayed here which made the trip amazing! We will definitely be back.

    The Sandbur RV Park

    Cozy + Clean

    Quaint little rv park nestled up next to the woods! Nice wooded walking trail with access to a private lake beach front. Great size lots and lots of room for rv, vehicle and camp/fire area! Clean bathroom and laundry facility on site. Propane refills on site. Friendly owners and quiet neighbors. Nice little hills for snow sledding! Short 15 minute scenic drive to Ponca City. Also, Amazon delivers out here!

    Rvino - Camp the Range

    Great Stop Over

    Also known As: Camp The Range

    Just outside of Wichita, near WSU is this tucked away tree lined RV park. There are a lot of monthly campers (remote workers, nurses, etc), but mostly all have very nice setups!! Very clean park.

    We stayed overnight on our way to Colorado. It’s a bit pricey, but there are pull through sites, full hookups, clean bathrooms with showers - which we utilized so we didn’t have to empty our tanks, laundry, and a full kitchen.

    The bathrooms were clean with adequate pressure and warmth.

    The game room/kitchen had plenty of books and entertainment. The actual kitchen area was great to have so again, we didn’t have to use our tanks to wash dishes.

    Didn’t do laundry but looked like plenty of machines.

    The back end of the park has a big stretch for dogs to run around and exercise. They provide bags and bins in two locations.

    There’s also a playground, we just didn’t venture down that way.

    Wi-Fi works great. Able to update some apps and stream on our Roku bar.

    Only complaint is how on top of each other the trailers are, but that being said, it worked out great for our needs!

    Wellington Lake East Rec Area

    Decent

    Driving long hours through kanas, if you have done this before...is daunting. there really isn't much to it. This time through we were able to find this camping area which was not to expensive but very basic. Which is how we like it. The best thing about going out of our way to this campground is we went by another place called Cowley lake state damn recreation area. Must stop here if driving through Kansas beautiful lake and waterfall! Maybe 40 minutes before Wellington Lake.

    Osage Cove - Kaw Lake

    We love this campsite

    My husband and I stayed here with our 2 dogs. There is no water hookup, unless you have a long hose & are close to any of the bathrooms. Perfect lake views, beautiful sunset, very quiet & peaceful. Couldn’t ask for a better night stay!
