Stop here on a whim. Loved the view of the the Mississippi River. But, the trains going by during the night was a bit annoying. Though, would not stop me from camping here again.
This is a great quiet park with animals for visiting and a very clean shower house.
Car camping in my Prius and wanted to stay in a non electric (ie tent) space for $12 but all the tent spaces didn’t seem to have anywhere flat to park. From what I could see, most of the nonelectric/tent were down at the bottom of slopes. Ended up paying the $18 and staying in a nice electric spot…
Lots of intense trails to explore but some tree were in the way due to a past storm. Close to cedar river for awesome fishing!

This is a real family oriented campground. Although it is a primative campground, it allows for fishing, boating and a playground.

The park is reopened! We have stayed here and will stay again. One of our favorite places to camp.
this is a 700+ acre park with hiking, fishing, and disc golf. it also has modern amenities and a small zoo of animals from birds to buffalo.
Clean sites right on the lake.. Peaceful nights with other friends & other campers.. Good place to launch kayaks from.. We had cell service.. Free firewood for campers was a plus!! $9.00/night!!!
Very quiet, small campground (possibly more quiet than usual being the 1st weekend of the season). Most sites are relatively private. Nice hiking trails within a short walking distance from campsites. There are 4 walk-in sites overlooking the Mississippi River. Clean restroom/showers.
