Best Campgrounds near Cordele, GA

No frills campground. Some spots have large square fire rings and others have round ones. We chose a spot right under a street light so we had plenty of light after dark. There is a boat ramp, shore fishing and a fishing pier all right here. They lock the gates at 10 so its only campers after that. Pretty much each site has their own trash can though a couple share if it logistically makes sense. You just pull in, pick a site and call the dam. You need to hit extension 3/damn operations/power plant or emergency assistance after 5pm. They will send some One down from the plant and its $5 out the door per night cash only. We were told it use to be free but they started charging to keep the trouble makers away. I will absolutely return here again. Such a way better deal Than the state park that wanted like $40 🤣. They have a shower house, but its up a steep Incline so if you have mobility issues you might not be able to make it.

It was a beautiful drive from I-75 and the location is worth the trip. It’s not huge but the pond and lake is amazing at sunset and sunrise. It was open 24/7 including the restroom at the office. The restroom is a bit rough because of the iron in the water but the fixtures appeared otherwise clean. Only 2 other quiet campers in the campground so plenty of room to spread out.

This is a HH location, but for $45 Campspot, you get full hookups and a $10 store credit. They have awesome selections when it comes to butcher meats, sauces and other stuff. The location is very convenient to 75, and has expected highway noise.

We’ve stayed here a couple times now for my wife’s job.

The pads left a little to be desired but talking to the owner they are working on that along with a lot of other improvements.

I work remotely and the WiFi was great for work and streaming.

The pond is very nice with some good fishing.

It will be our go-to RV Park for our visits to Eastman

I’m new to RV life but this place is very nice, clean and well manicured. And only $40 a night. That seems very reasonable to me with full hookups. I hope every place is like this, but something tells me that isn’t the case!

My husband and I choose to stay here when in the Macon area. Stayed 3+ months in lot 57, 2 weeks in lot 45 and 1 week in lot 14. Wonderful owners that live on-site. There are several full time campers but never any riffraff. Lots of room for dog's to walk and run their humans. Propane fill station, WiFi, laundry room, shower house, bathroom's and a small playground. Easily accessible right off the highway, level sites, 30 & 50 Amp, Water & Sewer and many pull through sites. A pool would make it 5 stars for me 😀

This review is written from a short-stay campground (CG) perspective versus a destination location. RV GPS took us right to the Loves Travel Stop from I-75. The Love’s Travel Stop is adjacent to the truck area exit. We used the gate code provided in the email and proceeded to back-in site 23 at the far end of the CG. Back-in was easy and the utilities were towards the back of the cement pad. The 50 amp electric worked great including not going out during the severe thunderstorms we experienced during our overnight stay. The water pressure was good at around 51 psi. We chose site 23 as it has a little yard and is a bit separated from the campsite on our door/passenger side. Site 24 was very close to our utilities side. There was grass and a fire pit barbecue at the rear of both sites 23 and 24. There’s a picnic table that could have been moved over to site 23 from 24. The pull-through sites are very close together and do not have a picnic table or a fire pit. There are back-in sites of various lengths around the back fence line with covered picnic table patios that overlook a field. There are also back-in sites at the front of the CG that back up to the Loves truck parking area. There were a couple of decent yard sites there, but there would be more road and truck noise. At site 23, there were truck and occasional train noises, but not as bad as we expected. This little CG has all your amenities for a short stay. The building at the gate has showers, restrooms, laundry, ice, a beverage machine, and firewood. There was also a nice dog park with a side for large dogs and another for small dogs. They had a little splash park playground and a pickleball court. We got 4 bars LTE on Verizon. Currently, there are no mature trees near any of the sites, so satellite would not be a problem. Their Wifi worked okay. One side of the CG is adjacent to the Love’s truck and gas station and the opposite side has a pretty field with trees. We’ve stayed at several Loves RV Travel Stops, and this one was the nicest so far.

Check in through the Loves app or onsite Kiosk. We tried to call ahead and pay cash onsite. The cashiers worked it out but apparently they aren’t set up to take cash reservations. We checked in late at night, which was a plus for our flexible travel plans. The campground is separated from the truck stop by a fence. Fire pit at your site and a communal one that’s open until midnight. Splash pad, dog park, pickle ball court, and 2 pavilions with grills. It’s actually a really cute site to be attached to a truck stop! It’s walking distance to Loves for necessities. Site 2 is near the office/dog park. Pull through sites and back in. Nice and level on concrete.

Really quiet, Showers in bathrooms on-site. Gated in area so theres the benefit of added security. I wouldn't get full hookups, just get the standard to save a few bucks cuz theres a dump station you can use for free 😉

This place is immaculate. The sites are quite large compared to Loves RV stop- at least double the size. The entire place is smoothly paved except for the nice patches of grass attached to each site. The check in is easy and it feels very safe inside the gates. It is a very short walk to food and convenience. Our boys enjoyed riding scooters and playing tag. As the name suggests, this is the perfect overnight spot when you are on your way to or from Florida. Booking is easy. It's a great place to walk around and admire all the fancy RVs as well!

Stopped here late on our way to Tennessee. Camp hosts Rita and Jim made sure we got to our site and we were settled in . We will definitely be staying again!!

We had pull thru site with full hookups. Everything worked and site was level. We made reservations and arrived after staff was gone. There was a detailed map and directions to get to our site. Worked great as a stopover to our final destination.

Has all the amenities and very clean. Even has a dog wash.

Very clean and well keep all sites have concrete slabs and full hookups dog friendly with a dog park check in was so easy
