    Love's RV Stop-Cordele GA 801

    Great Short Stay Campground

This review is written from a short-stay campground (CG) perspective versus a destination location. RV GPS took us right to the Loves Travel Stop from I-75. The Love’s Travel Stop is adjacent to the truck area exit. We used the gate code provided in the email and proceeded to back-in site 23 at the far end of the CG. Back-in was easy and the utilities were towards the back of the cement pad. The 50 amp electric worked great including not going out during the severe thunderstorms we experienced during our overnight stay. The water pressure was good at around 51 psi. We chose site 23 as it has a little yard and is a bit separated from the campsite on our door/passenger side. Site 24 was very close to our utilities side. There was grass and a fire pit barbecue at the rear of both sites 23 and 24. There’s a picnic table that could have been moved over to site 23 from 24. The pull-through sites are very close together and do not have a picnic table or a fire pit. There are back-in sites of various lengths around the back fence line with covered picnic table patios that overlook a field. There are also back-in sites at the front of the CG that back up to the Loves truck parking area. There were a couple of decent yard sites there, but there would be more road and truck noise. At site 23, there were truck and occasional train noises, but not as bad as we expected. This little CG has all your amenities for a short stay. The building at the gate has showers, restrooms, laundry, ice, a beverage machine, and firewood. There was also a nice dog park with a side for large dogs and another for small dogs. They had a little splash park playground and a pickleball court. We got 4 bars LTE on Verizon. Currently, there are no mature trees near any of the sites, so satellite would not be a problem. Their Wifi worked okay. One side of the CG is adjacent to the Love’s truck and gas station and the opposite side has a pretty field with trees. We’ve stayed at several Loves RV Travel Stops, and this one was the nicest so far.

    Valdosta Oaks RV Park

    Great location, Awesome overnight

We stopped here in May of 2020 enroute to leaving Florida. The location was the perfect stopping point for overnighting. It is located close to I-75 so very easy to get off the highway and back on in the morning.

The Park: 100 very level sites, full hook ups, easy to get in and out of. Plenty of space for big rigs. They have WiFi too! They had public restrooms and shower houses at the office. The park is really pretty, very clean. Most sites were pull through sites.

The owner and staff were very kind! We occasional heard traffic and thought we heard 1 train at night. We really enjoyed our stay and we will stay again.

Due to the virus we are not using public restrooms at this time so I don’t have any photos of them.

    The Campground is NOT closed

This is a really nice campground on a nice lake. Almost all the spots are pull-throughs, water, electric and sewer and cable TV as well. Bathhouse is nice, washers (1) was inop. It's a year round CG.

    Would definitely stay again

    Bainbridge Riverview Campground Bainbridge Georgia

Nestled along the Flint River with canopy of Live Oaks, peaceful trails ++

Disclaimer: we are current Camp Hosts at this city-owned campground in the Earle May Boat Basin Park. The city has totally redone this small, quiet campground and reopened it in Spring 2024.

There are 12 sites, 1 is reserved for Camp Hosts who are onsite 24/7. Sites are gravel, loop road is paved. 3 of the 11 available sites are wide back ins, the rest are very long pull through style. Most sites are nestled among the grove of live oak trees and pines that canopy the peaceful setting along the Flint River. All sites have electric(50/30/20/15) and water. There is an easy, level dump station for camping guest use only. The registered camping guests bath house is an older style but has also seen some upgrades.

A 2 mile riverfront paved walking trail takes you from the campground entrance into the historic downtown center filled with restaurants, breweries, boutiques, antique shops and cafes. Another nature trail loop at the CG entry has options for 3 to 5+ miles through dense old growth forest or around the boat basin itself.. All trails are basically flat and paved.

The campground also sits within the 300 acres Earle May Boat Basin, ideal for fishing enthusiasts. There is a small playscape in the campground and another laeger playgeound in the park which is walkable from the campground. Bainbridge is known as the Bass Fishing Capitol of Georgia! Each campsite also has a long picnic table, standing BBq grill and fire ring. Sites are wide. Sites 7, 8 and 12 are best for Starlink users as they have more open sky. Advance reservations are suggested and all reservations must be done BEFORE entering campground. It is no longer first come first served and reservation can ONLY be done online. Camp hosts do not have ability to make or change reservations or accept payment. Bainbridge has many festivals, concerts and special events all year long. Major big box stores, hardware stores, gas stations and grocery stores are within 2-3 miles of the campground. Rates in 2025 are $35 per night, currently no discounts offered. Max say length is 2 weeks. Campground is big rig friendly but loop road is narrow in some places so go slow!

    Bainbridge Flint River

    Level & spacious pull through

We needed a one night stop & this was perfect. Made our reservations online the day before. Host called me the next morning to confirm arrival time. Hosts were very kind, and escorted us to our site. Site was big, level, and pull through with full hookups. Long term rigs were kept pretty clean as I could tell. We didn’t use any facilities so have no comment on those.

    Love's RV Stop-Cordele GA 801

    Cute RV stop

Check in through the Loves app or onsite Kiosk. We tried to call ahead and pay cash onsite. The cashiers worked it out but apparently they aren’t set up to take cash reservations. We checked in late at night, which was a plus for our flexible travel plans. The campground is separated from the truck stop by a fence. Fire pit at your site and a communal one that’s open until midnight. Splash pad, dog park, pickle ball court, and 2 pavilions with grills. It’s actually a really cute site to be attached to a truck stop! It’s walking distance to Loves for necessities. Site 2 is near the office/dog park. Pull through sites and back in. Nice and level on concrete.

    River Park RV Park

    Visiting family

We chose this park because it was close to family we were visiting.

    Pros:

    Full hookups

    Laundry mat

    Showers

    Dog park

    Close to interstate

    Cons:

    Uneven sites

    Very close together

Tiny concrete pad, very little grass

No picnic table or fire ring

If you sit outside, your just looking at the side of the RV right next to you.

Lots of fulltimers with pretty rundown sites

Overly concerned about the grass while letting the rest of the park run down

Nothing worth getting pics of here

We will try a different park when we go back.

At Wanee Lake, one camper reported challenges with power fluctuations when running multiple appliances.

Site selection strategy: Back-in versus pull-through considerations matter for larger rigs.
