Off I-75 in Tifton, Georgia, this KOA Journey sits about 1.1 miles from the interstate, far enough that road noise drops away once campers settle in. Greg S. puts it simply: "Off of the highway enough to be quiet." The campground runs year-round and accommodates rigs up to 60 feet, with full hookups including 50-amp electric, water, and sewer at most sites.
Site quality varies across the property. Roads and spots are unpaved dirt, which some reviewers find rough, and spacing between sites can feel tight in busier sections. End sites and those near open grassy areas tend to give campers more room, and several reviewers note that the management handles late arrivals well, leaving site information posted at the office when staff are unavailable. WiFi is a consistent standout. Multiple campers report being able to video conference and stream HD content without interruption, which makes this a reasonable base for anyone who needs reliable connectivity on the road.
The campground has two fishing ponds, a pool, a playground, a dog park, and a nature trail that loops through the property. Golf cart rentals give campers a way to reach the lakes without a long walk. A complimentary breakfast, typically pancakes, waffles, or biscuits and gravy, is available most mornings. Gnats and mosquitoes can be noticeable depending on the season, so insect repellent is worth packing.
