Lovely KOA

We stayed here a whole week while ducking out of some weather. This one is especially nice if you like some room! We enjoyed a fire two nights and many walks on the nature trail which is part of the property.

Can’t beat this KOA Journey

I’m only staying one night at this KOA Journey in Tifton but from what I’ve seen you can’t beat it! Tons of amenities including a playground, bathrooms, dog park, 1 mile dog nature hike, large spread out spaces for well over a hundred rigs I’d guess. If you’re planning a trip down 75 through this area, I highly recommend this spot for a stay over or longer.

Well run, clean, nice pool. Roads and spots aren't paved but are fairly level. The gnats and mosquitoes were noticeable. Off of the highway enough to be quiet. Good communication and our info and tag was left out for us because we arrived late. The other campers were high quality and quiet. Sites spaced out an average amount.

Overnight Stay

Stopped for a night on our way to Disney. Had a nice, level pull through site. Just off of I 75 but not a lot of noise.

Quiet and comfortable

We stopped for the night on our way south and enjoyed a quiet little stay.  Good 50Amp, Water and Sewage with easy pull throughs.  The WIFI was actually amazing and we were able to stream our Fire Stick HD.

Decent place for a night or two

This campground is a decent place to stay for a night or two. It is very close to I75 (1.1 mile) making it easy on and off. We came in pretty late at night, around 10pm, and the staff had everything we needed to get to our site posted on a bulletin board for us. As we pulled into our site they actually pulled up and welcomed us. Very nice.

The campground is a little too "on the beaten path" for my taste but my wife had work to do and needed either good cell data, or better yet, good WIFI. I can say the WiFi was excellent. Often places (including hotels) will advertise free WiFi and you're lucky to be able to download an email. Here my wife was able to video conference and we were able to stream movies without issue.

We have full hook up with a shower and bathroom so I have no idea how the bathrooms are. They offer free breakfast but my wife wasn't willing to risk Covid because no one was spaced out or wearing masks. Hopefully in the not very distant future that will be a non-issue.

Smaller KOA but a nice stop for a nightu

We have stayed at this KOA many times it has full hook up, 2 lakes (you can fish). We rented a golf cart for $5.00 for 3 hours and drove to the lakes and fished. The pool is always refreshing and clean. We take our noodles and float in the pool. The new owner has done a great job. We had wings and pizza delivered from the office it was a good dinner. They had a free breakfast in the morning we had the sausage gravy over biscuits. The price is good for a KOA, and close to the interstate yet enough off it to not hear traffic. There is a flying J or Pilot at the exit makes it easy for gassing up.

We don't use the bathrooms so I can't speak to how they are but we like this campground. Others said they were very clean.

We will stop here again this was our 3rd time here.

Stay Away from this KOA

This campground is in great need of some upgrades. We have stayed at much better KOA campgrounds. Dirt roads in need of repairs, bath houses are run down, camping spots are so close you can hear your neighbor snoring! We arrived to find that our reservation was mishandled so our site was changed last minute (even though our reservation was paid 2 weeks prior). Ended up on an unlevel dirt spot 6 feet from another camper. The only good thing about our stay is that is was only 1 night!

Not a campground I’d stay at again

I didn’t care for this campground. Thank goodness we had a site near the front and a larger site. The sites were stacked in top of each other. I paid extra for a deluxe site and there wasn’t anything deluxe about it. The outdoor patio furniture was rusted and falling apart. The fire ring was rusted with holes in it. The bathrooms were really old and dirty. The staff was friendly and helpful.
