sites are small and narrow and nearly impossible to back into because main streets are narrow and full of obstacles (signs and utility posts) that keep you from maneuvering. Lots of shade and nice views of the river. We even watched a Falcon 9 launch from the pier. No cable. Sites are closely…
We stayed at this location for 13 days. The bathroom was clean, there was a fire ban in place, but we had portable grills so utilized those. It is supposed to be alcohol free however on our 10th or 11th night there, there was a large group that arrived and were very loud and they were all drunk.…

The people working were great. Had to come in late and they were still available late Saturday night. Standard hookups. No pool for the kids. Water hookup was pretty yellow. Had to run for a while to get cleanish water.
The only bad part about our stay was when we had to pack up and leave. I could seriously camp here for weeks on end. It really is that great of a place. Simple and clean with just the right amount of amenities to make your stay comfortable without feeling too “commercial.”
Also the lake is…
Like other reviews mention, the pot holes entering the campgrounds are bad. But that’s by far not the worst part about it. For starters, there are people “camping” who clearly live there. I’m talkin’ backwoods hoarder hang out, party of five. Pretty sure one of the neighbors we met was on meth but…
We stayed at spot 26. It was tucked back and was private with all the trees and for the most part fairly leveled. Cute little fire pit in the back surrounded by trees and grass. The bathrooms were very clean. The maintenance comes around and picks up trash 2-3x a day so it was never smelly or a…
Needed a few days off somewhere close to home and kind off in the woods to add up to our beginners level experiences. Wekiva Springs State Park offered all we were looking for.... Deer, Turkey, Turtles and apparently visiting of Black Bears around our camp site. Definitely an amazing time!

We rented an RV to see if our family will like to enjoy the outdoors and it was just perfect. We all love this State park and at the same time learned a few things about camping with RV's. Great memories will always stay in our hearts from this first adventure.
Excellent campground with paved spots, close walking distance to springs, Bear boxes, and in a quiet, peaceful location.

Very nice state park here. The electric camping sites have water hook ups. I don’t have a camper so we just set up tents and luckily the only spot available was a good one. It’s mid June and it’s HOT! Some sites are spacious and private and others you can see more of your neighbors. We had deer…
I have been a camper here since I was 10 years old. The upgrades have been great. My kids & grandkids camp there often. It's a beautiful campground in the Ocala National forest.
The only real issue with this park is trying to find a good site. While the place was well maintained and all of the codes (bathrooms, etc.) all worked well. But the site I was assigned was almost 90‰ under open sky with no shade. Will have to see if I can pick a site.
Great spot if you are looking for easy access to the beach. We were able to ride our bikes there. The bathrooms and outdoor pool were extremely nice! And we enjoyed the outdoor grill next to the pool. There wasn’t much shade available but we set up our canopy and was able to enjoy it!
We were happy to find the campground only about half full for our two night visit. Granted, it was a Tuesday & Wednesday in June. I imagine weekends and winter months are busier. The bathhouse was serviceable and clean. The water pressure was okay, but if you have thick hair it may take awhile…
I love to kayak, hike and road bike here while I enjoy camping and nature! We already booked for next year.
