Nice stay

This park was really nice to camp at, you got hookups for water and electricity. Hot showers in the bathrooms, each bathroom has its own sink , mirror , toilet , and hot showers the water doesn’t go cold on you. Pretty quite in the distance you can hear the power plant but not as bad as I thought it would be it’s a muffled noise so if you got tv or ear plugs you are in real good shape lol ! For rent campers atleast!! Clean grounds, has a soda machine near the playground very nice to launch boats out as well , I also see on here it’s listed @$15 it’s not $15 thru the number it’s like $25 plus tax (: worth it for the hookups

Small campground with an awesome trail system

This campground was very clean and peaceful to stay at. There is a boat ramp that stays busy, but the campground is tucked away with almost no traffic going by. The campground has clean single person restrooms with a hot water shower in each one.

The highlight of the campground is the trail system it is connected to. You can go to several other parks, the Central Florida Zoo, and even to downtown Sanford via bike trails. We loved being able to get around to the local hotspots with our electric bikes.

The only negative with this campground were that there is some noise from the power plant and the train tracks across the street. It wasn't bad, but I would definitely recommend getting a spot farther into the campground so that it is nice and peaceful.

Great price, good crowd, BUT little privacy , much noise

Stayed for 2 nights in mid December, beautiful weather, temp got down to 41 on the second night. Small grounds, beautiful lake that allows fishing and boating. Sites are very close to each other, good for making friends, not good if you like your privacy. Drive up right next to your site.

They sell firewood but sometimes they don't get deliveries , bring your own. The nearby wood is covered in damp dirt or wrotten. Publix nearby sells birch 👍

Sites have power and water, fire pits and grills. Bathrooms and showers availabile.

NOISY, lots of trains go by, even at night. Near highways and a factory.

Overall, staff and neighbors were nice. Definitely good for families.

Great for a weekend away!

Awesome Park

I love this Volusia county park. Cheap, cheap, cheap and massive sites. Watch out for the bobcat and bear cub but you will enjoy this hidden gem!

Convenient, good sites, but a bit loud

This was perfect for one night in a camper van or RV. The sites were spacious and somewhat private from your close neighborhoods. Bathrooms with showers included which was great since we came from the beach. Could definitely hear road noise and train noise. I probably would find it too loud for a tent, was not a problem in the camper. Not sure if sites farther from the entrance are quieter. Fire pit and grill for each site. For the price, it was a solid camp site and I was happy to stay here.

Decent camping spot

The only real issue with this park is trying to find a good site.  While the place was well maintained and all of the codes (bathrooms, etc.) all worked well.  But the site I was assigned was almost 90‰ under open sky with no shade.  Will have to see if I can pick a site.

I think camp for site 14-15 and 16 it’s kind of a group site very nice

Like Munro Park is a small park probably only about 25 campsites very nice bathroom facility with showers a hiking trail very nice paved walkway your right on Lake Monroe so if you bring a boat you can go boating goes into the St. Johns River And I think it’s campsite 1415 and 16 is like a group site where you share a campfire ring I got us sitting benches around it very nice we enjoyed it very much it’s quiet which we enjoyed because you’re right I’ll far for

Good spot for boating/fishing

The sites here are the basic pull in spots with a bench and firepit. Water and electricity at each site. The park is located right where the St. John's meets lake Monroe and has a boat ramp.
