    Denver East-Strasburg KOA

    Quick overnight

Not a lot of options on I 70 east of Denver for overnight parking so opted for a KOA last minute. Easy last minute check in process. Served great for a quick in and out.

    OK for Overnight Stop

Even though we were told they had recently graded all the sites, they held water.  We has rain (and hail!!) and our site was flooded.  Site next door was flooded and stayed that way throughout our 1-night stay.

On a happier note, staff was friendly and site was fine for an overnight stay.

    Denver East-Strasburg KOA

    Perfect overnight stop

We called in the early evening, booked over the phone, & had a map with directions to our site waiting for us. The site was easily accessible & the restrooms were clean & well stocked. It’s close to the interstate, but just fine for one night.

    Not bad for an overnight

Friendly check in and right off the interstate. Nice amenities for the kids to burn off some energy after a day on the road. The down side is the sites are literally right on top of one another.

    Cherry Creek State Park Campground

Convenient to Aurora and the greater Denver area

First time camping here. The Gold Rush loop is all full hookups. We stayed in Site 95 and had no trouble fitting our 29’ Class C, tow dolly, and towed vehicle.

There are multiple facilities in the campground that have hot showers and flush toilets. The building closest to the campground office also has a laundry that works via coins or pay via app, $2 per load.

Easy access to the sand beach on Cherry Creek reservoir, plenty of hiking and biking trails, and close proximity to Aurora, Centennial, and the greater Denver metro area. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient to Aurora, Centennial, and downtown

Cherry Creek State Park offers a variety of activities including water sports and a sand beach. The campground has tent and RV sites including full hookups.

We stayed in Site #95 which is a great private spot on the Gold Rush loop. The campground offers multiple bath houses as well as a laundry that is coin operated as well as available via an app at $2 per wash.

    Brush Memorial Park Campground

Great spot for night or few especially if you have kids along

Yes, it is a parking lot revamped for head to toe RV parking. However everything was clean and includes electric/water hookups and dump station. Across the driveway is a really nice well maintained park with shaded tables and room to run that includes playground, swimming pool ( not open now of course) with toddler pool, basketball courts, etc You certainly get a lot for your $25.

    Parking lot

Probably not where you want to stay if you're in a tent unless you're desperate. $25 for a tent site right next to the road. We left and got a hotel nearby. It's fine if you're looking to park your RV and need hookups, but it's basically just a parking lot

    Different

I really enjoyed this park ,the owner was great , and was very friendly. The RV park was full of wild rabbits that were running all around. The views were of a neighborhood park with grain silos in behind the park,. and wind turbines in the distance ,definitely different

    Cherry Creek State Park Campground

Scenic Campground with easy access from Denver

Very pretty campground with tidy tent spots and on-site bathrooms, showers for rent, and laundry. Very easy to access even from the RTD bus stop.

Only two complaints, I.) there is no walking access into the park so if you’re walking/biking in you’ll be hugging the side of a road and II.) there is significant car noise from the highway at the camp sites.

    Beautiful Park in the City!

Although it was a quick overnight trip for us, don’t let that be you! It’s we’ll thought out with lots of activity areas like, mountain bike trail, shooting area, off leash dog area, model airfield, equestrian trails, lake and hiking trails! It’s a 4200 acre park with 850 acre reservoir. It’s a destination, really!

    Peaceful and relaxing

We stayed at the Homestead Cabin and Campground in mid September for 5 nights while visiting our daughter nearby. The owners went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible and it was. Looking forward to staying there next year on our trip to Colorado

Lovely setting right in the city

We stayed here for one night before heading back out on the road. This place is huge and has many amenities. It’s very well maintained. The bathrooms were very clean and the showers were pay only and only with a bank card. $1.50 for a five minute shower. There is also an $11 day pass fee not included in your camping stay. There were full hookups. The sights were concrete and level. It was a little pricey, but we would stay again when visiting family, because there is definitely a lot to do!

    Good overnight stop

This city park campground is 10 minutes off the highway - a perfect overnighter. We had W & E with a picnic table on a gravel lot surrounded by the municipal park. Some shade but don’t count on it. A few tent sites too.

Amazing property! The family that keeps up the property are so kind, accommodating & love what they do! Love the showers!! And Omg! Fell in love with the puppies on the property. I wanted to take one of them home. I miss them already. I’ll definitely be back even if it’s just for 1 day and to say hello to the family especially sweet little girl Liberty 💕! I’m beyond grateful & bless that I found such camping grounds with incredible heart warming caregivers.

    Liberty Ranch

Our stay at liberty ranch was so great, we ended up staying longer than we had planned and the hosts were super accommodating, friendly, and people we are very glad to have met. We loved being able to see all of the animals and the outdoor bathroom and showers were great, so were the activity options they had. We felt incredibly safe and liked the location as well, secluded but not far from Aurora at all. Bring extra padding if you do decide to tent camp on the concrete is our only advice. We would definitely recommend if you’re stopping through for a bit!

    Just passing through

This campground was ok for a night.  It had electric and water hook ups and was cheap.  The park is pretty nice and the local people seemed to enjoy it.  The site was level and easy to get in to.  the bathroom was clean but not very private.  Not sure but I think some of the campers were actually living in the park.  I felt safe.  I would not want to stay more than one night.

Dirty bathrooms. Hadn’t been cleaned and restocked. No TP, hand soap, dirty stalls and showers.

No working phone, reached out on social media. After a day they responded with a rude response. I would not suggest supporting this business in any form.
