Campers visiting the Peyton area once used Homestead Campground as a base for exploring the open and forested terrain of eastern El Paso County. The privately managed property provided drive-in access, though the road was noted as rough, so lower-clearance vehicles warranted caution. Sites included fire rings, picnic tables, and clean toilet facilities, and firewood was available on-site. Cell service was confirmed by at least one visitor. Those researching places to camp around Peyton will find other options in the area, including Falcon/Colorado Springs NE KOA Holiday to the southwest.
Description
Due to our neighbors complaining to the county, we will not be able to host any campers in the future. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our family, friends, and future campers.
Located at the edge of Black Forest, this 7-acre campground is unique, with an open meadow and various lodge pole pine trees. As pictured, the campsites are positioned against trees for ideal seclusion and there is no electricity or water. (Your camper needs to be self-contained). All campsites are $35 a night.
One mile away is Homestead Ranch Regional Park. The park includes a playground, a playing field, various degrees of hiking trails, and picnic pavilions. Equestrian riders can water their horses at the trough while enjoying the five miles of trails throughout the park.

Fires will only be allowed (in the contained fire pit) in accordance with the daily fire restrictions in El Paso County, Colorado.
No loud music or discharging of any firearms.
You may see our dog Bella, or 2 cats wondering about the property. They are old and super friendly, but let us know if you prefer to keep them locked up while you are here.
