Overpriced big time

It’s your typical KOA, however, why should you have to pay $85 for just a pull thru electricity and water site, ridiculous !! Road noise is noticeable because as per KoA, your “conveniently” next to an interstate. Restrooms/showers need a good cleaning, however they are a little dirty and the women’s restroom smells like a vault toilet. There’s a silo nearby and it sounds like a big industrial fan running almost constantly. And flies, a lot of them. If possible, skip this overpriced KOA!

OK for Overnight Stop

Even though we were told they had recently graded all the sites, they held water.  We has rain (and hail!!) and our site was flooded.  Site next door was flooded and stayed that way throughout our 1-night stay.

On a happier note, staff was friendly and site was fine for an overnight stay.

Not bad for an overnight

Friendly check in and right off the interstate. Nice amenities for the kids to burn off some energy after a day on the road. The down side is the sites are literally right on top of one another.

Not up to KOA standards

Dirty bathrooms. Hadn’t been cleaned and restocked. No TP, hand soap, dirty stalls and showers.

Great for a quick overnight

The on-site host is a hoot! Loved her personality & energy! Super welcoming! The tent sites are sand and fine for a basic overnight on a long trip. We opted to upgrade to a cabin after we got there due to being on the road so long & it was clean and adequate. The showers have continuous hot water and glorious pressure! After being in the back country for a week it was so refreshing!

On interstate

Easy access from interstate. Park has full hook-ups with store at entrance. One night stay during travel, camp sites are small for full size RV but manageable.

Clean and Nice KOA

Very standard KOA Park and it’s a great location for travelers along I-70. We stopped here because we encountered a nasty spring storm and knew we couldn’t stay ahead of it. Pretty much everyone else who stopped that day was in the same predicament as we were. Many of us just did laundry and made the best of it!

Campground: The staff was very warm and welcoming and we were very grateful for a safe place to plug in with shelter. They had several small KOA cabins on the property and horse shoes.

Amenities: They had a pool, laundry, playground, camp store. It was clear that this is a location many traveling through stop at. The facilities (bathrooms and showers) were clean and well lit. They have a kids area and nice playground too.

Sites: Nice long pull through spots, level, and clean. While we were there the storms dropped about 3 inches of rain and there were some muddy spots but it seemed nice and dry by morning.

Unacceptable

This is a disaster! I made reservations several months ago as part of an extended, 5 week trip. We got here as they are in the middle of a major construction project. It is undoubtedly needed. But, they should have called or emailed us about the inconvenience, dust and noise! We could have found an alternative place to stay. Bad form in their end, and also in KOA to allow it.

  • Noise and dust from construction project is completely unacceptable.

Excellent for overnight stay

Easy access to Interstate. Pull through sites plenty long enough for our truck and 32’ trailer without having to unhitch. Stayed just one night as we passed through.

Good space between sites.
