Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park

Amenities were good but site was not nowhere near level !

Very accommodating. I called and let them know we would be coming in after dark. Ricky directed us right to our campsite. This is a dark park all outside lights must be off by 10 pm. You can see so many stars in the sky it was beautiful. Campground was not crowded. This park is located right across the highway from Mesa Verde National Park.

This is a nice park. A little dated. The pull through spaced had 30/50 amp hook ups. Water and sewer. Our 41’ Montana’s 5 slides fit but the spaces (and trees) prevented us from opening our awning. The picnic table and fire pit were adequate but no open burning was permitted during our stay due to fire conditions . We didn’t use either showers or laundry. We had a problem with our truck and the manager was able to extend our stay by a day on short notice — also recommended a local diesel shop in Cortez. Great view of the Mesa and noise from the highway was not too bad. We would stay here again if in the area.

A place that could use an update. All the amenities are there (water, electricity, picnic table, shower, toilets, swimming pool, small children's park) but in a disharmonious setting. We chose it for its proximity to Mesa Verde National Park and not as a vacation spot.

Staff was very accommodating. RV site was fairly large. Shade trees between spaces. Less than a mile to the entrance to the National Park. About 10 miles to Cortez, CO. for supplies in

Stayed overnight. Clean, friendly stuff, nice playground, quiet, fair price - wonderful.

Spent the night in an actual campground after several nights out in dispersed sites. Facilities were clean and well kept. Showers hot! Big 1/2 acre dog park that was also well kept and included obstacles for extra play. Staff was very friendly. Early season but there were already a few other campers and the cabins were full.

Made a Rez 5 months ago and didn’t see the fine print cancellation policy stating 14 days out no refund. I had to make new plans due to unforeseen circumstances and called to find out that 13 days out is too bad for me. Not any concessions or credits for future stays, nada zilch. So for a slow time of year they just print money hoping no sees their fine print. I’m a business man and I’ve always seen rules as an opportunity to make someone’s day not motivation to make negative reviews. Maybe I’m old school but there was zero expense on their part and 5 months of cash holding for them. I guess their business is doing so well that they send people the other direction when looking for a place to stay

Can't get a better location if you're visiting Mesa Verde. It's a stones throw from the park entrance. The campground is very professionally run& kept very clean. We didn't get a chance to use the amenities but they looked great and I was kind of regretting I didn't book an extra day just to relax and hang out by the pool

The couple is amazing and genuine. Perfect location across from the park. Really clean. Very friendly and great location. If you stay in site 115 beware of the tree….

Cabin was so cute. Had everything we needed. Cold AC and a small fridge inside the cabin. They had one cabin that allowed doggies. Bathroom and showers were clean. Small store if you need small items.

The staff is friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Great location, kid friendly, and pet friendly. Restrooms/showers and laundry were very clean and well maintained. Recommend!

Ancient Cedars RV park is a great place to stay when visiting Mesa Verde National Park. It's located directly across from the visitor center on the other side of the freeway. The RV park has a combination of full hook-ups to campsites. 

The park has a playground with a miniature golf course. There's a recreation room with a pool table, TV, and games. It's a great place for the kids to hang out in. 

The cell service is good

Very clean showers and laundry facilities.  The only con is that the camp spots are super close.

This campsite is in great proximity to Mesa Verde National Park. I don't think you could get any closer to the park. The park is practically right across the street. The camp had nice clean amenities and a nice game room with a pool table. The only downside to this campground is that it's spots are right on top of one another and some of them are pretty hard to get into and out of.

This camp is very clean and very family friendly. Putt Putt golf, pool, etc. Laundry was very clean. My only complaint were the crowded camp spaces and the gentlemen who checked us in was very rude about the fact he received different information through the online reservation vs the information I actually submitted. So, to avoid his attitude, you may call to make your reservation.

A nice campground with both tent and RV plots. They have showers, flush toilets and laundry facilities. There is also a cabin with books and games. It is very close to the park. The layout is nice and it is very family friendly, but also good for people without kids.

This rv park is right next to the entrance to mesa verde. It was a nice park and showers were included! There’s also a pool and mini golf if you’re interested in that. Management was super nice and helpful!

Daughter and I camped here before visiting Mesa Verde. It was a great campsite. And, after a long day the swimming pool was very refreshing. Campground was clean and our campsite had a nice table. Shower house was nice. Views were beautiful and location was perfect for our destination. We packed up quick because of rain and went strait to Mesa Verde, where I couldn't find a cup of coffee until a ways into the park, so my advice is a quick trip to the closest town!
