Best RV Parks & Resorts near Yorba Linda, CA

Several RV parks near Yorba Linda provide full-service amenities for motorhome travelers. Orangeland RV Park in Orange features concrete pads with 50-amp electrical hookups, water connections, and sewer services. Canyon RV Park in Anaheim accommodates big rigs with spacious pull-through sites and complete hookups. At Rancho Jurupa Park in Riverside, RV sites are divided between two distinct camping areas - the Cottonwood section with concrete pads and well-maintained grass, and the Lakeview section with dirt roads and water/electric connections only. Bonelli Bluffs in San Dimas offers level sites with 50-amp service and maintains a pool for guest use. "We stayed in both and liked the spacing and grass better in the Cottonwood campground, especially given the limited amount of good campgrounds around LA."

Advance reservations are strongly recommended for these popular Southern California RV destinations, particularly during peak seasons and weekends. Many parks fill completely, especially those near attractions like Disneyland. Most facilities provide dump stations, though locations like Rancho Jurupa may require tokens purchased from the camp store for shower use. A review noted that "sites are big and well spaced, with 30-amp electric" at some parks, though amenities vary significantly between locations. While most parks allow pets, specific dog areas and restrictions apply. Travelers should note that traffic noise can be noticeable at certain parks, particularly those near major roadways. Cell service is generally reliable throughout the region, with WiFi available at most locations, though connection quality varies considerably between facilities.

Anaheim RV Park - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Disney Camping - Clean, Pool, Very Nice Restrooms/Showers

Anaheim RV Resort is close to Disney and is on the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus route. They have full hook up sites and room for large rigs - back-in and pull through. They are very pet friendly and even have a dog walking/feeding service (for an extra fee). There is a small pool and hot tub. The restrooms/showers and newly remodeled and very nice! Sites are all level and fairly large. We've stayed here 4 times and will be back again!

    Pechanga RV Resort

This Is A Resort With All Amenities

I spent a few nights using my Passport America discount at Pechanga RV Resort. I really liked it there. This is now one of my favorite RV resorts in California except for the showers. It is clean, well-maintained, concrete, level pads, full hookups, 168 site spaces, 20-30-50 amp power, 5 luxury spaces that The park itself is clean, well-maintained, concrete, level pads, full hookups, 168 site spaces, 20-30-50 amp power, 5 luxury spaces that is fenced in with gazebo, and picnic tables. First of all, it is part of the Casino with entertainment and restaurants. This casino reminds me of the Vegas casinos and now is under construction to make it a real Vegas Style Resort. It’s going to be finished sometimes in 2017.

The RV resort itself has a nice heated pool, Jacuzzi, ping pong table. They also have a golf club which could be important for some. One thing I hated is the showers. The RV resort shower has a timer set to 25 seconds and the showerhead is not able to stand upright. So you basically have to hold the shower in one hand and keep pressing the timer every 25 seconds. It’s December, it’s cold in the shower, especially because the water keeps shutting off. You end up standing soaking wet putting soap on yourself in the cold.

I wonder if the hotel rooms have timer on the showers as well. The person who came up with this idea should take showers in there each night. It pet-friendly resort, they also have an area for dogs. If you heading to the casino, they have a shuttle service 24/7 which picks ups from and drop-offs to and from your space. You have to call a number and they are there to pick you up in minutes.

About the WiFi! It’s the best WiFi ever in any parks I’ve so far visited! I wasn’t even close to the main building and had a great reception. I am able to use my Roku to watch Netflix and can use my laptop as well for work. I didn’t even need my Sprint or Verizon, but both work fine. Across the street, there is a 2-mile bike/walk trail. Using this and riding around the nice neighborhoods it was a fun way to get some exercise.

    Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground

    Bolsa Chica State Beach

The 4 stars is primarily for location. This is essentially a parking lot with power and water. We had a beach front space (B035) with a decent sized palm tree. The only one I really saw. The spaces aren’t huge so if you have a big rig or large trailer it will be tight. Most trailers parked their tow vehicle perpendicular to the space and some barely fit. There is no privacy, the small concrete area is shared with your neighbors as is the entrance to the beach side. People watching at the boardwalk is amazing. There is live music at the beach bars nearby which was cool. Definitely bring bike. There isn’t a lot within walking distance but downtown Huntington Beach and the pier is just a couple miles away.

    Waterfront RV Park

    Great place by the beach

Your not on the beach but literally on the other side of pacific coast highway you are there. They have smaller options for travel trailers with power hook ups only and pull through and back in sites available with full hook ups. They have a great pool, maintained laundry rooms bathrooms and showers separated by men and woman for that privacy you need. Overall an incredible rv park and very impressed by it being well kept and clean. Not to mention close to the beach

    Great family friendly place

My wife and I have been coming up here for years. We used to use her parents fifth wheel or use a cabin but recently purchased our own travel trailer. Now we come up here with our kids and I can’t say enough about how family friendly it is.

    Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park

One of the Best County Parks you will find

This is a great park in Southern Orange County. I have tent camped here for years with my kids in the Live Oak campground and never had a bad experience. There are hiking trails everywhere with lots of wildlife to watch. I switched to a travel trailer several years ago and now use Ortega Flats campground. The sites are big and well spaced, with 30 amp electric. The water is off for the time being. The dump station is very close by and easy to access.

What to do

At Waterfront RV Park, visitors appreciate the proximity to beach paths, with one reviewer sharing, "We rode bikes along the bike path through Huntington, and went for daily walks as well."

Family-friendly activities: Many campgrounds offer dedicated recreational facilities. "Splash pad, park, mini golf great amenities," mentions a visitor about Rancho Jurupa Park. Another camper at Canyon RV Park notes the park has "fun events on many of the weekends" making it ideal for families looking for structured activities near Yorba Linda.

What campers like

Urban sanctuary feel: Despite proximity to highways and urban areas, many campsites provide surprising serenity. A guest at Canyon RV Park shares, "I litteraly forgot where i was because its like a little bubble... I felt like i was in the woods, and at times i swear i was the only camper here." This provides a unique escape near Yorba Linda without traveling far.

Proximity to attractions: Campers appreciate how these RV parks serve as convenient bases for regional exploration. One visitor at Anaheim Harbor RV Park notes it's "Walking distance to Disneyland" and "On-demand public transport for $6/person for all-day access." Another mentions, "We drove over to the Mission Inn (8 min drive) enjoyed lunch."

Seasonal water features: Summer visitors particularly enjoy water recreation options. "Second time here and we're enjoying it. It's hot but a fire haze has blocked the sun a bit also the water pad is so fun even for grown ups," shares one Rancho Jurupa guest, highlighting how water features provide relief during warmer months.

What you should know

Security considerations: Several parks have implemented safety measures. At Rancho Jurupa, a camper notes "Great sense of community and great placement of the gates for safety purposes." However, at some locations, campers should take precautions. One visitor cautions that the ranger advised them "to lock up bikes and be careful leaving out items because a local has been coming in stealing."

Space limitations: Site dimensions vary significantly between parks. At Fairplex RV Park, visitors note being "packed in like sardines" and warn "not Big Rig Friendly!!" with one reviewer cautioning, "Spaces are very tight. Good for 1 nite only stay."

Traffic noise: Being near urban areas means some noise pollution. At Canyon RV Park, a camper mentions "The site is bordered by highways on both sides, and they create noise day and night. They're also clearly visible." Similarly, reviewers at other parks note road noise from Pacific Coast Highway, especially on weekends.

Tips for camping with families

Kid-friendly park amenities: Many campgrounds offer dedicated facilities for children. One parent at Orangeland RV Park appreciates the "covered play area, helpful staff, heated pool as well as a hot tub." Another mentions that while camping at Anaheim Harbor, "my daughters watched television in the adjacent club house" after setting up camp.

Budget-conscious options: Costs vary significantly between parks. A visitor at Anaheim Harbor RV Park advises, "If you are in anything other than a motorhome you will need to pay for your vehicle to park!" and notes "the 40ft RV length restriction includes the length of the hitch." Understanding all potential fees helps families plan accurately.

Activity planning: Plan for on-site and nearby activities. A visitor at Bonelli Bluffs lists available activities: "camping, horseback riding, fishing, trails, biking, hiking, picnics, you can use your jet skies in designated areas, swimming on the pool areas, kayaking, Park for kids and plenty more."

At Rancho Jurupa, campers often prefer "the Cottonwood section with concrete pads and well-maintained grass" over other areas.

Connection reliability: Wifi quality varies between parks.
