Peaceful campground for the area

Nice enough campground close to the town. Is gated, so pretty secure with park rangers that drive around. There are some permanent citizens here, but everyone was nice.

Nice RV Park for LA area

This campgroud has two sections. The lakeview area has dirt roads, sparse grass and a few spots close to the lake. The Cottonwood campground has concrete pads and well maintained grass throughout. This campground may have been renovated recently by the looks of it.

There is a small store and a couple of cabins too, but the cabins don’t appear to be bookable via the website.

I stayed in both and liked the spacing and grass better in the cottonwood campground but overall this park was a nice surprise for us, especially given the limited amount of “good” campgrounds around LA.

Showers available, but only ok. Need to use tokens for them. Cottonwood has full hookups thru out, and lakeview is mostly just water/electric with a dump site near the entrance.

Definitely would stay again. Weekends are very busy here

Best Camping spot in the IE

Beautiful views all around Sunrise, Sunset and Night sky. Sights of all kinds of birds like hawks and herons. Water park and mini golf for kids. Showers and laundry convenient. Camping spots all have fire pit and spacious area for Rvs and tents.

Great place for Ontario

Came in for a convention in Ontario, better alternative than Fairplex park. Very spacious and good for big rigs. LOTS of activities for families (splash pad). Reservations online not too bad, only thing is it will says electricity only but I have had water hookup at all of my spots (changed spots cause i kept booking one night at a time and it was getting busy during Halloween time). Would visit again. 50⚡️ 💧👍. There’s a dump station, but a couple spots with dump but they were always booked. I will book ahead next time.

Satisfied

Campsites are kind close and there lake needs a bit of work and stocking. I say lake even though they say theres 2 its really only one. But the kindness of staff and the fact there showers and bathroom are clean and work makes up for it

So far love this place

Second time here and we're enjoying it. It's hot but a fire haze has blocked the sun a bit also the water pad is so fun even for grown ups

Can be crowded

We stayed 5 days while on a bussiness/vacation. We started off in the dirt area and on a weekend.  No sewer hookup or paved sites on that side, and it was very crowded on the weekend.  Many people, tents, and people per site. Some of them seemed to be in compitition with music. It did quiet down after 11:00 pm. After the second day, we were able to get a site on the grass side. Paved, full, hookups, and plenty of room,  This was like a completely different location. We would gladly stay again if the grass side was available but not on the dirt side.

Clean

Family friendly. Looks more like a park than a campsite but is ver convenient.

Awful

I have never been so glad to leave a campground as I was to leave this one. We came to California to visit friends and family in the Riverside area. We were in the Lakeview side(unpaved) and what a rat hole. They allow 20 people and as many cars that will fit and then some into a campsite. Trash was everywhere! The camp host's site looked like a junk yard and I never saw him do anything but sit in his lawn chair. I didn't even look at the restrooms or showers because if the guy can't keep his own site clean, I'm sure he isn't keeping the bathhouse clean.

The sites are dirt with a rickety and dirty wood picnic table and a fire ring. Our site and all the others were full of trash all over the ground and it got worse each day as our neighbors just threw their trash on the ground included baby wipes and dirty diapers.. Obviously nothing is done to the sites between campers. The dumpster was overflowing when we got there and was a complete mess two days later.

We had people doing heavy drugs in the campsite to the right of us and at least 40 people partying with loud music until 1:00AM both nights in the campsite to the left. Kids running around everywhere and the people next to us even parked their car in our site. They also dumped their grey water on the ground and flooded both our sites. Yuck!

We had to go somewhere each evening and we were a nervous wreck about what might happen to our trailer while we were gone. We left nothing outside, not even a chair. I can't believe that this place has a such a high rating as it is just really, really bad. The rangers do not enforce any rules and it's pretty much come one and all and do whatever you want as late as you want.

We paid$45.00 a night for partial hook-ups and a stress filled weekend. It isn't worth$2.00 in my opinion! The people who run this place should be ashamed. My husband said they are probably so outnumbered by the riff-raff that they are afraid to do anything. We will NEVER return.

Near Historic District

A little something for every type of camping. Cabins, paved pull through & natural dirt & grass. Friendly staff to check us in gates close at 10:pm your provided with a security gate code to get back in if your out late.

Lots of families with children, fishing for catfish in the little lake which is shaded with trees and plenty of tables to picnic by the lake. Playground plus lots of grassy areas. We stayed in the natural area with hook-ups everything worked great.

Neighbors were nice, cute set ups with twinkle lights and people enjoying outdoor fire pits. Campers we’re playing music, laughter echoes through camp ground but nothing too loud and all quiet later.

We drove over to the Mission Inn (8 min drive) enjoyed lunch. Their is a pedestrian only shopping area with a Saturday farmer’s market plus lots of restaurants.

The campground sells firewood plus has a little store. Would stay again.

Nice Local Spot

Very well maintained and clean campsites! Splash pad, park, mini golf great amenities Nice staff! Would of liked to be on grass like the sites across but they were clean! Only downside was that the ranger said to lock up bikes and be careful leaving out items because a local has been coming in stealing😱 we were site261 cottonwood.

Large clean sites with grass

Great park. It may not seem nice when you are passing through town to get in, but once you enter the gates it’s beautiful. Large concrete pads, easy backing in and hooking up. Lots of grass, great place to camp in groups.

Group camping is rough

Took Girl Scouts here for group camping. Rocky and sand. The family camping was fine! Girls used Porta Potties. I’m hoping they have finished construction on something better since then.

However, there are some great kid friendly activities
