Several RV parks near Redondo Beach offer full hookup sites with varying site dimensions and amenities. Dockweiler Beach RV Park in Playa Del Rey provides full hookups including 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections on beachfront sites. The park operates year-round with both pull-through and back-in spaces that accommodate large RVs. "The RV sites are pretty close together but the full hookups makes it really nice," noted one camper about nearby parks in the region. Golden Shore RV Resort in Long Beach features big-rig friendly sites with electric, water, and sewer hookups, while Malibu Beach RV Park offers ocean view sites with 30/50-amp service, though spaces can be tight for larger rigs with multiple slide-outs.

Most RV campgrounds near Redondo Beach require advance reservations, particularly during summer and holiday weekends when occupancy rates are highest. Newport Dunes RV Resort provides 372 sites with full hookups and amenities including showers, toilets, and a sanitary dump station. Access to many coastal RV parks involves navigating urban traffic and sometimes tight turns, especially for larger motorhomes and fifth wheels. Based on reviews from The Dyrt, visitors should be prepared for premium pricing at oceanfront locations, with rates reflecting the prime coastal positioning. On-site propane is available at select locations, and pet policies vary between parks, with most allowing pets on leash only. Cell service is generally strong throughout the region due to the urban setting.

Anaheim RV Park - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Disney Camping - Clean, Pool, Very Nice Restrooms/Showers

Anaheim RV Resort is close to Disney and is on the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus route. They have full hook up sites and room for large rigs - back-in and pull through. They are very pet friendly and even have a dog walking/feeding service (for an extra fee). There is a small pool and hot tub. The restrooms/showers and newly remodeled and very nice! Sites are all level and fairly large. We've stayed here 4 times and will be back again!

      Bonelli Bluffs

      Hidden Gem

I loved this place, this hidden gem is located in the in the middle of the city, with the feel of the outdoor. Lots of trees, biking and hiking trails, fishing area, beautiful views, very peaceful, family friendly, pet friendly, the C9 RV spot was very spacious, I also liked the A & B area. Not every site has a fire pit. Definitely coming back again.

      Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground

      Bolsa Chica State Beach

The 4 stars is primarily for location. This is essentially a parking lot with power and water. We had a beach front space (B035) with a decent sized palm tree. The only one I really saw. The spaces aren’t huge so if you have a big rig or large trailer it will be tight. Most trailers parked their tow vehicle perpendicular to the space and some barely fit. There is no privacy, the small concrete area is shared with your neighbors as is the entrance to the beach side. People watching at the boardwalk is amazing. There is live music at the beach bars nearby which was cool. Definitely bring bike. There isn’t a lot within walking distance but downtown Huntington Beach and the pier is just a couple miles away.

      Waterfront RV Park

      Great place by the beach

Your not on the beach but literally on the other side of pacific coast highway you are there. They have smaller options for travel trailers with power hook ups only and pull through and back in sites available with full hook ups. They have a great pool, maintained laundry rooms bathrooms and showers separated by men and woman for that privacy you need. Overall an incredible rv park and very impressed by it being well kept and clean. Not to mention close to the beach

Thornhill Broome Beach — Point Mugu State Park

      Beach camping on PCH!

Spent 3 nights here and absolutely loved it. Campground has trash, porta-potties, and appeared to have potable spigots but didn't confirm. Verizon service was hit or miss, but with a booster it was usable. Nice fire rings and picnic tables. Only downside was highway noise, but the surf drowned out all but big-rigs. Saw dolphins and seals back to back days! We're so glad we went, and if we pass by again we will be staying for sure!

      Orangeland RV Park

      Location!

Stay here every year for dance competitions in Anaheim and Garden Grove. Very reasonable prices for the area. Anaheim transit makes on-demand stops her to Disneyland as well as Garden Walk. Very helpful, friendly staff. Many residents mixed with overnight era or vacationers.

      Pros:

      • The price for the area is worth it!
      • Amazing staff.
      • Free citrus picking!
      • Pool, mini golf on site.
      • Incredibly creak restrooms and showers.
      • Camp store.
      • On-demand public transport for $6/person for all-day access.
      • Walking distance to Big Ed and Honda Center.
      • Along Santa Ana River Trail path that connects beach to San Bernardino Mts.
      • Security at night.
      • Dog runs (kinda stinky, though)
      • Back-in and pull-thru sites (I’d try to stay closer to Struck and the western side)
      • Rules are there to keep things nice and safe.
      • Good wifi

      Cons:

      • Stinky dog runs
      • Street racing nearby at night. Every time.

      Dockweiler Beach RV Park

      Great location!

Camping at the beach in LA! Large country campground that has sites designed for motorhomes and sites designed for travel trailers and fifth wheels. It asphalt campsites, but you’re at the BEACH! My only complaints are the electrical was not working properly, (I had to connect to 30A instead of 50A), and people don’t pick up after themselves.

      O'Neill Regional Park

Great Tucked Away Spot in Orange County

      SITE:

This site is great if you like hiking, biking, MTB, and running. It is very clean, and the showers are free and clean as well. It's tucked back in the canyon, but you will still hear all the traffic from the road. Since it is a canyon, many loud cars and motorcycles zoom past at high speeds.

      Free dump station.

      SURROUNDING AREA

There aren't too many shops in close proximity, but there are shops down the road a few minutes away if you need supplies.

      ACTIVITIES

The campground is located next to Oneil Park, which is huge and great for bike and running. There are many hiking trails nearby in all directions. I usually ride to Caspers from the campsite or Trabruco creak up to Holy Jim.

    Guide to Redondo Beach

Coastal RV camping options near Redondo Beach provide proximity to beach activities while offering varied amenities for different types of RVers. The area sits at sea level along the southern California coastline with moderate year-round temperatures averaging 65-75°F. Most oceanfront RV parks operate throughout the year but tent camping is seasonal at certain locations like Huntington Beach RV Campground.

    What to do

Beach access across the street: At Waterfront RV Park in Huntington Beach, campers are just steps from the sand. "Your not on the beach but literally on the other side of pacific coast highway you are there. They have a great pool, maintained laundry rooms bathrooms and showers separated by men and woman for that privacy you need," reports one reviewer.

Biking coastal paths: Malibu Beach RV Park offers access to extensive coastal biking. "There's also a bike path that goes for miles both north or south - great for an early workout," notes a visitor. The oceanfront location puts campers minutes from multiple beaches.

Water activities in protected bays: Beyond surfing, campers enjoy calm water recreation at certain parks. "This one is to die for when it comes to kayaking," mentions a visitor about Seabreeze At Seal Beach, highlighting water sports opportunities beyond ocean swimming.

    What campers like

Urban convenience with beachfront views: Dockweiler Beach RV Park balances city access with oceanfront camping. "Beach front and city in the back!!!!!" enthuses one camper. The location provides direct beach access while maintaining proximity to urban amenities.

Clean facilities despite urban setting: Cleanliness stands out as a priority at area RV parks. "The staff keeps the grounds clean, clean bathrooms, heated pool and hot tub, and other fun things to do like horse shoes," notes a visitor about Golden Shore RV Resort. Multiple reviews mention well-maintained restrooms and shower facilities.

Resort-style pools as beach alternatives: Swimming pools provide options when ocean conditions aren't ideal. "Swimming pool and nice club house just perfect for spend time with family," comments a Waterfront RV Park visitor, appreciating alternatives to beach swimming.

    What you should know

Airport noise considerations: Some oceanfront locations experience aircraft noise. "You will hear each and every if the planes taking off from LAX, but at one point you don't hear them anymore," explains a Dockweiler Beach RV Park visitor, noting the trade-off for prime beachfront positioning.

Seasonal availability limitations: Several beachfront campgrounds operate seasonally. "This opens back up in October due to the high traffic of summer visitors," explains a reviewer about Huntington Beach RV Campground, which closes during peak summer months when the lot serves as public beach parking.

Security protocols at military facilities: Seabreeze At Seal Beach offers excellent military-only camping but requires proper credentials. "Everyone has to have an ID card to get on the base or be pre approved by base security," advises a camper, highlighting access restrictions.

    Tips for camping with families

Entertainment options beyond the beach: Family-friendly amenities enhance stays for children. "We've stayed here every year. They have activities for the kids like arts and crafts, an inflatable obstacle course or you can rent paddle boards or watch a movie on the beach," shares a Newport Dunes RV Resort visitor.

Evening activities for kids: Beachfront campgrounds offer unique nighttime experiences. "At night, you can build a bonfire, which is really fun and one of the few spots in Orange County that you can do this," notes a Huntington Beach RV Campground camper.

Disney-adjacent options: For theme park visitors, certain RV parks provide strategic locations. "Clean, quiet, friendly staff and great to visit Disneyland!" explains a visitor about Anaheim Harbor RV Park, which sits approximately 20 minutes walking distance from Disneyland.

    Tips from RVers

Site layout considerations: Space limitations affect larger rigs throughout the area. "The RV sites are within our area no problem. Its simply a open lot with the hookups. Overall, nothing amazing but was perfect for us," shares a camper about Waterfront RV Park, noting the functional but basic setup.

Parking logistics: Urban RV parks often require creative parking solutions. "It is parking lot camping and you are directly under the LAX flight path which means large and noisy keys overhead all day long," explains a Dockweiler Beach visitor, highlighting the urban camping reality.

Reservation timing strategies: Advanced planning proves essential at popular parks. "Make sure you know that you want to stay here for the full time because there is not a generous refund policy," advises a Golden Shore RV Resort visitor, noting the importance of confirming plans before booking.
