Lake San Antonio

I love this lake it has something for everyone. Like swimming, boating, camping, going on a picnic, and fishing in some areas. I would consider this one of the best campsites I’ve been to

Nothing fancy, just right

Quick overnight stop on our way south. Disappointed to see that dogs aren’t allowed in the beach. This coastline is an environment sanctuary. Giving this four stars because spot was really nose down even with blocks on the front tires. Camp ranger was nice. Strict with the dog rules but nice…

Clean and quiet

It’s a beautiful area that’s great for family camping. The cell phone reception is bad, the closer you are to the host site the better the reception

Unbelievable Spot

My wife and I found this spot on our Honeymoon. Dispersed camping all along the trail, despite a sign saying no car camping. It was a 45 min (6 mile) trip up a dirt road but boy was it worth it. The trail continued toward a campsite, but we found a spot that we couldn’t pass up (see pics). We were…

Morro Dunes

We have stayed here many times. Very clean, friendly staff, and the best thing of all is the access to the beach is across the street.

Great place to stay!

Not only wAs this campground clean, but so good if you want tons of things to do. We biked to the beach. Swam at the pool. Watched an outdoor movie. Played shuffleboard, etc.

Good location

Nice location, golf course next to it, small marina with beach caffe and kayak rental. Downtown is about a mile walk ( or drive ) and it has a marina, shops and restaurants and whale watching tours. It is small but enough. Campground is crowded, hosts don't enforce the rules so it is loud at…

Best Coastal Camping Stop

We absolutely loved staying here right on the coast. So many things to do. Golf course steps away, marsh land walk across the street, tide pools and beach access. About a little less then a mile walk to the marina/town area. Definitely worth a stop on a road trip through the coast!!!

Dunes

This is one of the few beaches you can drive on in CA. Come prepared with 4WD. Ride ATVs on the dunes and camp on the beach. Lots of trash and always windy.

Terrific Place

Ya.... you see broken down boats and jet skis and the smell of the sulfur is a little off putting but if you wanna go somewhere where NOONE bothers you. This is the place to go. Keepen it real.

Spectacular views BUT…

The views are breathtaking, but so is the amount of 💩 and toilet paper everywhere. This gem of a spot has been overrun by people who have clue how to “leave no trace” and is now disgusting. Hot and terrible black flies in warmer months. Road is rough and steep. 4x4 recommended. Area is currently…

Family friendly campground in Big Sur

My husband was so excited to return to this campground he visited 8 years ago and was pretty disappointed in the changes. They’ve recently cut down a lot of trees and shrubs between sites, so there’s no real privacy. What used to be a beautiful sandy beach just across the street is now a rocky…

RV campground w/ hookups near the beach

We camped her in Feb 2021 & had a great time. Small quiet state park campground with pull-through RV sites. Water & electric hookups, clean restrooms w/ private showers (showers requires tokens). Firewood available from camp host. Easy access for most rvs. Market, deli, drive-on beach (open…

Stopped here for a night on my way up the coast on a solo trip. Nice grounds and pleasant staff. Can’t wait to return!
