Great place

Views are amazing. You can hear the sea lions at Port San Luis, birds of paradise and other lovely flowers, palm trees and eucalyptus. Very well maintained. Beach is 10 minute walk and allows dogs. Near to San Luis Obispo and so much more that the lovely Central Coast has to offer. Staff were very attentive and helpful. There are areas with community fires for gathering, small store. Bocce ball and other games. I dry camped which worked out just fine. $10 dump fee when you leave is available for dry campers. Full hookups also available but they fill up so advance reservations needed.

Stellar Stay - Top Choice!

I’m so glad I came across this on the maps. It was a bit of a splurge ($105/night), but when I pulled in and saw that view - it was totally worth it. I even added an extra night at the end of my week, bc I just didn’t want to leave. Sites are spaced decently, but still 10-ish feet apart. Propane fire pits at each site. Clean bathrooms and lovely, huge private shower rooms. Laundry onsite is cashless - Apple Pay. The views, I can not say enough. Sunrise in the morning is epic and watching to cotton candy sky show every night while listening to the seals bark from the ocean. I loved every second of it. Such a treat.

Cramped sites, Beautiful Location

If you’re okay with being about 5 feet away from neighboring campsites, this is a beautiful stay. Clean Bathrooms/Showers, beautiful views, and a short walk away from the beach. Although- it’s unfortunate you cannot request specific campsites.

Great views but with a price

We have stayed there 3 times. All pretty good experience. It is still under construction and you sign a form saying you are aware of it. The sites are sand so if it ever rains makes it a bit messy. The place isn't cheap and it isn't easy to get reservations. You will need months of advanced notice. All are back in. When they designed it, they didn't really make enough room to maneuver. I watched a Class A next to plow up a bank with his front end. Some scratches resulted and some plowed earth. I am always counting on no additional people parked in front of our site so I can maneuver easier. No 10 point turns. :-) Easy access to the beach and the pier. A great place to be. During certain times a year they want a 5 night minimum, so be aware.
