Visually Stunning Rock Formations in the Central California Countryside

Per my rating system, this is very close to being 5 stars, meaning it's worth planning a trip from out of state just to visit this park and surrounding national/state forest for 3 days or more  The only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is that Pinnacles isn't quite big enough to explore exclusively…

Good for overnight RV

I have stayed at this RV park several times as a stop over for the night. It’s not the kind of place I would want to stay at much longer but it does have all the power and water connections that one needs for an RV. Most of the sites I have stayed at have the connections at the center of the site…

Not bad for RV park

First let me say RV parks are my least favorite places to stay, thus 4 stars. But when a heatwave comes through I need hookups for AC. I stayed 2 nights. Very clean grounds. Several shade trees. Lots of little kids. Wi-Fi was great. Could work and stream TV. Facilities (bathrooms and showers) were…

Quiet, natural and good neighbors

This campground is very clean, nice amenities , easy access points for water and wslks, paved paths, beach area a bit away from camp spots but overalk, especially convenient for disabled folks like myself- park rangers patrol frequently & nice camp host!

Nothing to write home about

It's just not that great. Our site had a brackish pool of stagnant water nearby that made the bugs unbearable. Some of the sites just get blasted by sun all day. The shower works but expect it to go from hot to cold and back.

And yes, the raccoons will steal food off your table right in front of…

Fantastic and strange!

Loved camping here as a stop on a road trip along Oregon coast hwy 101. The entire campground isn't like this, but our site was directly beneath the highway and next to the beach. There are fun hikes that leave right from camp that go to a waterfall. Check out the actual decommissioned lime kilns…

Best site I’ve been to

I have been on a cross country trip and this is by far the most beautiful, quiet and peaceful site I’ve been to. The creek is beautiful, the air smells like cedar and juniper, and it’s truly such a wonderful place. I would stay here for a week if I could. Definitely camp here!

One of my favorites

So beautiful and right next to a creek with fish to play in. The views from the top of the mountain when driving to the ocean are the most beautiful views in the world! We saw a small bobcat at night driving to the campsite. A 30min drive to the ocean where you can surf or spy starfish. This is one…

Clean quiet safe

This is a great RV resort for extended stay or overnight if traveling through. Lots of pull through sites for long RVs which are OK here. In the summer, there is a strong coastal influence so it stays cool here! Amenities include a pool, very clean bathrooms and showers and a small store.

I rented an Escape camper van. Perfect lodging as it was riverside and torrential downpour forced many tent campers to leave.

I was cozy! I brought my propane fire pit as there was a fire ban. Most trails were closed due to mud. So many sites to see around the area. Gorgeous trees and water.

Beautiful Views

The views are gorgeous and the campground is clean and spacious. There’s trails going out from the campground that are nice. Negatives: the reservoir isn’t a water source you can easily walk up and swim in - it’s surrounded by thick mud.

Pretty park, well-maintained

The park is a on beautiful forested hilltop. Some areas are redwood, other parts mixed with other kinds of trees. This is the only place I’ve seen the redwood trees harvest the fog and make their own rain, which is pretty cool. In the morning it’s raining under the redwood trees but not under the…

Refreshing campground

Beautiful! Peaceful! Clean! Campground is surrounded by lush trees and vegetation. Our campsite was right next to a small stream and the kids had so much fun exploring everyday. The bathrooms/showers were cleaned everyday. We went during spring break so there were plenty of families and some…

Breathtaking Sunset View

This was such an easy going trip, the staff was great and worked well With security. Plenty or area to picnic with large groups, charcoal grills, sinks. Great place for a small fat get to gather or couples tent in the water.
