Anaheim Harbor RV Park welcomes pets at its location near the Disneyland resort, offering full hookups for both tent campers and RV travelers with dogs. The park maintains pet-friendly sites across its standard and deluxe spaces, though standard sites are essentially parking spots with hookups while deluxe sites include picnic tables and artificial grass areas. Moro Campground at Crystal Cove State Park also accommodates pets with electric hookups and water available at designated sites. Security at these campgrounds is generally good, with Anaheim Harbor featuring on-site security guards at night. The staff at both locations maintains clean facilities including hot showers and restrooms that remain accessible for late-night pet walks. Pets must be leashed at all times in both locations with owners responsible for waste cleanup.

Newport Dunes RV Resort offers one of the more spacious options for pet owners with larger camping areas and full hookups for RVs. Both tent and RV campers find several pet exercise options within walking distance of most campgrounds in the area. Firewood is available at several locations including Newport Dunes and Seabreeze at Seal Beach, though the latter requires military credentials for access. Nearby walking paths provide good opportunities for pet exercise, with Seal Beach featuring wetlands adjacent to the campground where many guests walk their dogs. Water access varies by location, with beachfront properties like Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground offering direct beach access where pets can enjoy shoreline walks on leash during designated hours. Weather remains mild year-round, making this region suitable for pet camping in all seasons with minimal concerns about extreme temperatures affecting animal comfort.

      Waterfront RV Park

      Waterfront RV Park, CA

Located in Huntington Beach California. This site is right across the street from the beach. Be careful and aware when staying here. My husband and I had our mountain bikes stolen when sleeping. When we asked for camera footage the owners of the campground claimed the cameras were broken and they couldn’t share the footage. There are many homeless folks living in the area. The showers don’t get hot, but the area is clean. There is a pool and a hot tub and a small dog park. It’s expensive to stay here, but a beautiful spot.

      Hollywood RV Park

      Themed Park!

First of all, staff was amazing. We were originally supposed to arrive on a Tuesday and we’re not able to make it. Staff shifted our reservation instead of us eating the missed night cost. Also super accommodating allowing us to extend a day longer last minute. Park is tight quarters with 200 spots. Two laundry rooms/bathrooms with showers on site, plus a cute little dog park! We stayed for three nights. Every “road” in the park is themed with California or Hollywood themed decorations and murals. We were parked right next to a Mister Roger’s mural across from the laundry/bathrooms. My only complaint in the noise level at times which is not from the park itself. Helicopters would fly over randomly, sometimes at night and it could be annoying when trying to sleep. Otherwise, absolute GEM of a place!

Launch Pointe Recreation Destination and RV Park

      Nicest cleanest campground

I had site 126 in the fields, corner site and lake view. This campground has a pool, splash pad, park, dog park and access to the lake. They also have a band on Saturday nights. The only bad part is they strictly enforce quiet time at 10pm. I felt like a kid being told to go to bed. I feel like on weekends people should be able to stay up late in front of their camper with low voices. Shouldn’t be hounded night after night! That was my only complaint.

      Hare School Park

It’s the sports fields parking lot

I’ve been here for a couple days and nobody’s mess with us. There’s other people that are staying in another parking lot attached that are homeless in their vehicles mostly cars and vans. I’m in a 25 foot Fleetwood RV. There’s a dog park kind of area with a big field they can run around and just clean up after them. There’s no public bathrooms, but there are trash cans so clean up after yourself please. It’s not tent friendly. I don’t believe.

Anaheim RV Park - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Disney Camping - Clean, Pool, Very Nice Restrooms/Showers

Anaheim RV Resort is close to Disney and is on the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus route. They have full hook up sites and room for large rigs - back-in and pull through. They are very pet friendly and even have a dog walking/feeding service (for an extra fee). There is a small pool and hot tub. The restrooms/showers and newly remodeled and very nice! Sites are all level and fairly large. We've stayed here 4 times and will be back again!

      Palm View RV Park

      This place is good

This is our 2nd time here it's quiet and they have the most interesting walkabout garden with little kickbacks where u can chill with whoever. If you don't have anybody walk on over next to the garden to find some nice goats and sheep and up on the little hill there's cute chickens of all whom can be pet as for they are all used to being pet. We bought some food that we feed them.

Rolling M. Ranch Campground — Chino Hills State Park

      Beautifully scenic area

Sprawling lush green hills? Can’t beat Chino Hills State Park.
The campground itself feels very close together and wide open compared to the space of the park. Gets loud at night if there are too many groups camping. No cell service. Super clean bathrooms and showers.

PET OWNERS BEWARE: Our dog munched on a frog at this campsite and started foaming at the mouth. We rinsed her mouth out with water and she turned out fine, but a smaller dog or a swallowed frog and she could have died from toxicity.

    Guide to La Palma

Pet friendly camping options near La Palma, California include several RV parks with hookups and amenities for dogs. Most campgrounds in the region sit at elevations under 100 feet, with Mediterranean climate conditions ensuring mild temperatures year-round. The urban camping environment offers convenient access to local attractions while maintaining designated areas for pet exercise.

    What to do

Beachfront activities: Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground offers direct ocean access for water recreation. One camper noted, "Had so much fun here today kayaking! It's a great place to enjoy the beach." The campground features a paved bike path running for miles in both directions.

Hiking with pets: The wetlands adjacent to several campgrounds provide flat, accessible trails suitable for dog walking. At Seabreeze at Seal Beach, "Wildlife reserve adjacent to the park made it nice for walking the dogs, too." These wetlands also attract numerous bird species for wildlife viewing.

Urban exploration: Many campgrounds position pets and owners within walking distance of shopping and dining. As one camper at Crystal Cove State Park mentioned, "It's super convenient to have stores like Trader Joe's and restaurants just a few minutes away."

    What campers like

Clean facilities: Golden Shore RV Resort maintains exceptional standards according to reviews: "The grounds are kept in excellent condition - very clean and secure. The pool, showers, bathrooms are all spotless."

Fruit picking access: At Orangeland RV Park, campers appreciate the unique opportunity to "pick all the oranges you want!" One reviewer highlighted this unusual amenity: "Free citrus picking!" making this destination stand out for pet owners seeking something different.

Security measures: Several campgrounds prioritize safety for pets and owners with gated entries and patrol staff. A camper at Golden Shore noted, "Security is very good and felt very safe, especially considering the location."

    What you should know

Site limitations: Many campgrounds have specific rules regarding number of pets allowed. One Orangeland RV Park reviewer cautioned: "Only two dogs allowed, we had to leave one with a friend... if you have 3 furry friends or more you can't stay here."

Noise considerations: Urban camping often means traffic sounds. At Waterfront RV Park, expect "road noise from the PCH. Friday/Saturday were the worst nights." Bring earplugs if your pets are sensitive to noise.

Tight spacing: Most RV sites throughout the region provide minimal separation between neighbors. One Bolsa Chica reviewer described it as a "Glorified parking lot. This campground has a great location but has absolutely no privacy."

    Tips for camping with families

Kid-friendly amenities: Newport Dunes RV Resort offers numerous child-centered activities as described by a camper: "They have activities for the kids like arts and crafts, an inflatable obstacle course or you can rent paddle boards or watch a movie on the beach."

Budget considerations: Prices vary significantly between campgrounds, with state parks generally less expensive than private resorts. One Bolsa Chica visitor remarked, "The campground is nice but it is a little pricey to get an RV spot."

Dog exercise options: For active dogs, seek campgrounds with dedicated pet areas. Orangeland offers "2 dog parks" according to visitors, providing safe spaces for pets to run without leashes.

    Tips from RVers

Utility connections: Most sites offer water and electric but not all include sewer hookups. At Crystal Cove State Park, "We had 30/50 amp electrical and water. Dump station is on your way out, with 3 stations in that row."

Site selection strategy: For larger rigs, request specific sites when booking. At Waterfront RV Park, "The sites 26-36 are HUGE... If I were again to come, I would stay in a site in the 84-89 numbers."

Military access options: Active and retired service members should consider Los Alamitos Army Campground, which offers "Full hookup in both parks, Legacy (gravel for smaller RVs) and Sunset (cement spots with extra spot for a car)." Verification of military status is required at check-in.
