Beautiful Desert Camping

We planned a one night stay in late May. We arrived on Sunday about 3 pm which was great because the campground was practically empty. This is the perfect place to experience desert camping. It was quiet and serene. The desert sunset was beautiful. More than I expected. The sunrise was…

Up north of chuchupate campground

This place is extremely roomy. Lots of place to set up different campground equipments. You get shade and partial sun. Very relaxing and out of other campgrounds although you will get dirt bikes going in and out during the day time. This place is good for hiking around the canyons, hunting, sight…

Amazing campsite

Everything was great about this campground. Showers, phones service, WiFi, showers and locks with passcode on the bathroom doors and a pool just to name a few things. Weather was great and we loved everything about staying here.

Beautiful and Remote

We loved our stay at this campground. It was beautiful, quite and the camp host was incredibly kind. My only complaint is that we were very far from any good hikes. My partner and I ended up driving 3hours to Sequoia NP so we could get a good one in. However, if you want a nice, lazy weekend in the…

Camping with a Pop-UP Trailer

This was a pretty nice campground. We were at group site 3, it has a covered picnic area and flat area for tents closer to the river bank.

We called park services to make sure our camper was allowed (Twice) and it indeed it was. However when using a pop up you are essentially camping in the…

Canyon Walls for Days

We got a spot right up against the canyon wall. I definitely recommend that since it give you shade earlier than the other spots. We went in the middle of the week so it was nice and quiet. Also on a full moon so the crevasses were lit up through the night. Absolutely beautiful place to stop in.…

Out in the middle of no where....

My family would camp here once a year for 4-5 days.  It is dispersed camping, so there are no hookups or designated sites.  It is primarily for off road enthusiasts, however, we just came out here to enjoy the desert and go for walks.  We would usually go toward the end of the year when it is not…

Remote and quiet

If you like to stay off the beaten path and away from crowds. The this is a spot to check out. Stayed memorial weekend. We were one out of about 5 campers in the area.

. They have primitive bathrooms . No potable water. So bring water. It is buggy. Ants, nats, mosquitos. Look for spots with shade…

Quiet & Nice Camping Site

This camping site is a nice free area super close to the Giants Trail entrance (5 minute drive). As you head in you go thru a little dirt road and at the end you see an opening for this site. There is one site located right at the start of the access road but with no views. The main area is cleared…

Very Nice

Normally do dispersed camping, but figured I would do the campground thing. Very beautiful well kept supposedly it had just opened an hour or two before I arrived after being closed for two years. Great campground

Quiet, secluded, star gazing

Great place to dry camp(boondock). Love camping out here. Most of all it's free.

On the River spot!

We love it here. Try and get a spot on the river, it’s like having property right there. You’re own private fishing resort. 80* on Memorial weekend.

Awesome Boon Dock Spot!

We were the only ones here. So quiet and serene. Not a lot of glass in this spot like stated. We will be back one day.

Beauty between mountains

There are several very dispersed spots, but its all open so dont expect too much privacy or shelter from the wind. Gorgeous sunset to sunrise. Watch eagles prey on ducks, pelicans gather, hear the frogs croak. Gnats get a little crazy before the bats show up. Nightime lights permeate the sky…
