GuideGreat campground in the woods lots of shade right on the lake. Our littles loved the beach and all the little rascally squirrels were fun to watch. There was no phone service and no WiFi so unless you bring your own this is a great place to figure out why a weather radio would come in handy! Very peaceful and serene.
GuideThis park is an attraction to hikers and rock climbers according to the lady at the camp store. The views are absolutely spectacular! To register for the night you will need cash unless there's someone in the store. Best I can tell, there are more day visitors than campers. I stayed in the tent area, but there appeared to be quite a few places to park a small RV. I chose the tent area because it seemed a bit better for level parking. It was also closer to the restroom. Note there are lots of signs stating no parallel parking in the tent area, so I guess the way the space is laid out if you are towing a trailer you couldn't park there. The tent sites are scattered along half the loop through the park, but there are no specific sites with numbers. Instead there are lots of picnic tables and fire rings and it seems you just pick an open spot. Absent are any tent pads, so you just put out your tent under the trees. There is a restroom building that includes showers, but the showers are those single button things you have to keep pressing. The restroom was reasonably clean given there were a few groups of kids there during the day. Overall this is a pretty good place to camp for the night. The staff was friendly and the park well maintained. I slept in my truck quite comfortably and had a peaceful night. It's June as I visit, and the full rate is $19 to camp. They gave me a senior discount.
Scout80 spaces for large RVs at $46 a night. Kayaking is one of the main activities. Kayak rentals and sales. Friendly staff. Bath house, nice and clean and adequate but definitely needs and upgrade.
ScoutMy family stayed here for a few months while my husband worked in the area. The new ownership is spot-on what you would hope for! Super responsive, great communication, and immediately fixes any issues. If you call and they dont answer, they are probably helping a customer. Call back in an hour or two.
Grassy area for kids to play, creek and rock bank area to play as well. Quiet, no crazy parties or loud music. Very honest owners. Highly recommend!

ScoutI've been here for the month of April it's on the water and Good people around no washer and dryer but the laundry mat is less than 5 miles away in both directions there is a restaurant and a bar less than a half mile away it's close to everything WiFi isn't that good had to get hot spot on my phone I've enjoyed it here if your into fishing and getting out on the water and I do it's great ya do hear the train going down the track but I've gotten used to it and it's not that bad I'll stay here again
ScoutThe campground host is so accommodating! It’s a small but beautiful place to park and enjoy the outdoors! There is a lake as well as boat ramp to fish. It’s quiet and relaxing. The sites aren’t squished together so it’s nice to relax outside! The only drawback is there is no laundry on site, so if you are a monthly camper like my family was, you have to go into the nearest city to wash. Other than that, I highly recommend this campground!!!
ScoutWe got here an hour before sun down. It’s a nice ride up on a very steep at times dirt road. It’s private but there’s a ton of houses in the area with people driving up and down the road. Once the sun went down there was too many outside noises for us to feel comfortable so we packed up. Very strange noises. Very buggy as well
