Gulf Shores RV Resort provides 173 full hookup sites with concrete pads and ample space for large motorhomes. Island Retreat RV Park features level pull-through sites with 50-amp service, while Luxury RV Resort offers 97 year-round sites with water, sewer, and electric hookups. Bay Breeze RV on the Bay accommodates big rigs with spacious sites and full hookups including 30/50-amp electrical service. Most parks in the area have paved interior roads suitable for larger motorhomes and fifth wheels. "The sites are on concrete pads with Full Hookups but the waterlines are getting a bit brittle so be careful not to break it like we did," noted one camper about Island Retreat RV Park.

Throughout the Gulf Shores area, RV parks typically remain open year-round with peak season running from March through October. Many resorts offer amenities including swimming pools, clubhouses, and on-site laundry facilities. Cell service varies between parks, with most reporting adequate Verizon and AT&T coverage. Several parks provide trash pickup at individual sites, while others maintain central dumpster locations. Proximity to beaches ranges from walking distance to about 15 minutes by vehicle. Pet policies generally allow dogs with designated pet areas available at most locations. During summer months, advance reservations are strongly recommended as Gulf Shores is a popular destination for RV travelers seeking coastal access.

      Bella Terra of Gulf Shores

      You will not be disappointed!

We spent 3 nights at this resort in July while visiting our son and his family. This class A only resort is clean and beautiful. We had a lake view pad with full hook ups and seating area for $56.00 a night. You can upgrade and get a gazebo and/or fire pit as well. Beautiful zero entry infinity edge pool and gorgeous clubhouse with daily activities. 15-20 minutes from Gulf Shores AL and the beach! We will definitely be back!

      Magnolia Farms RV Park

Off the beaten path, but close to a bunch of attractions.

As a snowbird this place checked all my boxes. Its 10 miles either way between two populated cities and 20 miles to the Gulf of America. This park literally sits at the intersection of four, mile wide cotton farms on all sides, the chances of hearing traffic is slim. There is approximately 50 sites, some with concrete pads, some stone and some grass. All look to be very level since I never saw chucks under any wheels. Every site is full hookup and there is a clubhouse with a full sized kitchen and showers if you don't want to use the one in the rig. Wi-Fi is broken up into 3 zones, so you're not fighting to connect. Haleigh, the new manager, took over in November and is putting her stamp on the park. There were Christmas lights all over the clubhouse and Park wide potlucks during the holidays. Made it feel like home. There are several long term residence(longer than a snowbird) who were all very nice and welcoming. The grounds are well kept with improvements currently happening. It's a kid and pet friendly park. I will definitely be returning next winter.

      Sugar Sands RV Resort

      Our favorite Orange Beach campground

Very clean. Spacious sites with level concrete pads. Full hook ups. Only 8-10 minutes to the beach.  Very clean bath houses. Easy to navigate campground road with tons of room to back into back-in sites. Pull throughs also easily assessible. Nice pool. Check in easy and quick. Employees very friendly. Will be back next month. Camp store on site. They also have a few rental tiny houses and rv's. Trash pickup at your site each morning. Cable TV and great WIFI.

9/6/20 update: all things mostly the same, bath house closed from 8pm to 8am and WiFi not nearly as good as past visits.

Military Park Pensacola Naval Air Station Oak Grove Park and Cottages

      Quiet

RV sites are concrete pads with full hook up (power, water, sewer, WiFi, and cable). Most sites are a little closer together than we are used to. No fire rings at the RV sites. Tent sites do have fire rings, but no power or water. Bathhouse is large and very clean. Laundry facilities available. There is a community center building with TV, tables, and fire ring that hosted a dirty Santa and nightly BYOB happy hours while we were there, as well as a NYE Party planned. Staff and camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to the Pensacola Lighthouse and National Naval Aviation Museum. Dog friendly beach right at the campground. They do not allow swimming at this beach, but still fun for letting the dog run, fishing, and hanging out. Swimming beach and pool are located at other areas of the base. Reservations are site type, not site specific, but after talking with the staff they said they’d try to accommodate site requests the best they could when making reservation.

      Magnolia Farms RV Park

      Quiet, Friendly RV Park

We are fairly new to the RV life - Andy tried to help us back in, and then decided he would just do it for us. He was so helpful. Everyone has been helpful. The laundry facility has an app that lets you know when your clothes are done, so you can walk back to your camper and wait instead of sitting with it. 3 or 4 activities are planned every month. There are some permanent residents, but enough transient to feel like you are with travelers. We chose it because it was close to our daughter, but would choose it again. Monthly rate is cheaper than daily rate. There is a fire pit for everyone to share, but no fire pits or grills for individual sites. Wooden decks for each site are nice. Grassy back in and some pull through- all level. Someone is always tending to the grounds and doing maintenance on the sites. We’ll be back!

      Blue Heron Escape RV Resort

      Wonderful!

The Blue Heron Escape RV resort is one of the newest RV camping options in Foley, AL. It is the perfect location for beachgoers and explorers to enjoy Alabama's Gulf Coast. It is approximately 6 miles from Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. Additionally, the location is perfectly distanced to avoid the hustle and bustle of tourists, and it is close to shopping.

The owners, Scott and Gayle, are very involved with the resort and make the time to welcome you to the park. They are continually looking for ways to improve their guest's experiences.

      Luxury RV Resort

      A Good Place to Stay

This is a nice campground and convenient to beach, restaurants, and shopping within walking distance. There also many activities just a short drive away. The campground is clean and site have full hookups, concrete pads and patio with nice tables. They have a pool, bathhouse with a laundry and a clubhouse with bathroom and showers also. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed our stay and the people were very pleasant. The cost was a bit higher than we would normally pay but all in all we were pleased. The biggest con is that because of it’s close to beach the traffic was heavy at times. If I want to stay in Gulf Shores again I would consider staying here again.

      Sun Outdoors Orange Beach

      Lots of concrete

This is an all Inclusive RV Resort! Lots of spaces, but very few RVs when we were there. Sites are all concrete with easy access hookups. Not much shade. 2 pools, one adult only. Dog Park, laundry, tennis courts, gulf cart rental. They even have a business center. Walking trails connect to Gulf State Park. They do a lot of planned activities which can be annoying. Long term or short term sites available.

      Island Retreat RV Park

      Gulf Shores Basecamp

A nice base camp to explore Gulf Shores that is located near one of the boat launches, the bike path, restaurants, and beaches. The sites are on concrete pads with Full Hookups but the waterlines are getting a bit brittle so be careful not to break it like we did (and both our neighbors had too) . The amenities include a clubhouse, a pool, and a dog run. The location was great, not as busy as some areas but the ferry traffic did back up one night due to an accident. Overall the park was well kept, with newly renovated bathhouses, and pretty quiet.  We really enjoyed being on the bike path and riding into town to mini-golf and shop the stores.

PROs: just out of the busy Gulf Shores area offering quiet when you are done with the beach crowd.  Staff was nice and helpful and the renovated bathhouse was great.  Sites were plenty big for us with level pads.  My kids loved jumping on our bikes to go mini-golf and explore the area a bit.  And they loved in the pool and playground.  We had ample space to relax when at camp.

CONs: all the spots are in the open, having some trees or vegetation would be nice for little sense of privacy but we had great neighbors we got to know (we were in the back corner right next to an apartment complex) .  Our area had a little more trash around then I would have expected (all small things and some stuff left in our fire ring - we were in the corner so maybe it all blows over there?  I ended up filling a grocery bag full of bottle caps, cigarette butts, etc). The bathhouse was half renovated so we did have to wait to shower during prime times, but it will be worth it when they are done.  Pool is not heated like some in the area are.  Cannot choose your site, but I believe you can request one if available at check in.
