We are located on Interstate I-85 Exit 51 and are the Auburn-Opelika areas easiest on and off interstate RV park as well as the only privately owned RV park located inside the city limits of Auburn, Alabama.

R. Shaefer Heard Campground is a wooded lake-view site near West Point Dam. This pet-friendly campground provides 117 campsites for tents and RVs with water and electric hookups, and includes handicap sites, single and double sites, waterfront sites, and paved back-in and pull-through drives from 25 to 107 feet. Each site permits up to eight campers and four vehicles. The campground is located within R. Shaefer Heard Park, which includes additional amenities, such as a tennis court, multi-use ball field, hiking and mountain biking trails, boat ramps, docks, pavilions, playgrounds, amphitheater, and visitor center.
