Blanton Creek Campground

Georgia Power operates this lakefront campground on West Point Lake, where 50 sites accommodate RVs up to 50 feet with electric and water hookups. The facility provides both drive-in and boat-in access, with select waterfront sites offering direct boat docking.

Sites vary considerably in size and spacing. Some spots position RVs within 15 feet of each other, while others provide more separation. The campground features well-shaded sites, though larger rigs need to verify site leveling since driveways slope uphill or downhill depending on location. Sites 3 and 9 include boat docks, while site 25 sits directly on the water and site 36 provides convenient bathhouse access.

The heated bathhouse contains five toilet stalls and four tiled showers with benches. Campers consistently note the facility's cleanliness and upkeep. Cell service runs limited, with Verizon showing one bar that supports web browsing and video streaming at reduced speeds. Those exploring the broader region can find campgrounds around Lanett across the state line.

Fee structure includes additional charges for tents pitched alongside RVs ($30) and multiple tents per site ($25 each). Susan D. recommends choosing "a lakefront location" for the next visit. Reservations help secure preferred sites, particularly waterfront spots that fill quickly during peak seasons.

Visitors often highlighted the well-maintained, peaceful lakefront setting with clean facilities and heated bathhouse. Some concerns about pricing and site leveling for larger RVs, but most found it worth returning to.

Awesome place

We recently visited for the first time this year and I must say that this place will be on my always go list. We love the peacefulness and cleanliness of the park and the staff was wonderful. We will definitely be back a few more times this year 😁

Great experience

The camp site is beautiful! It’s a fairly small camp site compared to others. It is very well kept up and clean. Would definitely go back 10/10 expensive

GA Power Campground ain't bad

Sites are on the smallish side but well shaded. Site 1 has another site 15 feet behind it. (RV butts back to back)

The lake is lovely, and there are docks that, if you put a boat in, you can dock right at your site on some select sites. (3 and 9)

36 is excellent if you want by the bathhouse. 25 is nice on the water. There is less than 15 feet between sites 1 and 32 or 48 and 39.

The bathhouse is heated and has five toilet stalls and four nicely tiled showers with benches.

Verizon LTE is one tiny bar, but webpages and videos load, albeit slow.

BE WARNED: If you drop a tent with an RV they charge you an extra $30. If you have two tents on one site they charge you $25 for EACH tent. You might as well reserve 2 sites. (See photo of fees)

Quiet little park

The park is relatively small but it’s very well kept. Small rigs can pretty much enjoy any spot but larger rigs need to be sure that the site is level for the length of the rig. Some spots have a driveway that goes downhill from the camper and others go uphill from the camper which might be an issue for 5th wheels. Overall, would stay here again!

Lovely campground

Excellent campground with clean bathhouse. Next time we visit we will pick a lakefront location.
